On a turn in which only one card was sacrificed, my "Friendly Ghost'' and "Bashful Beastie'' were targeted by my opponent's "Sawblade Skinripper'' ability. Destroyed instead of 1 damage.

Did your opponent have a Fractured Realm room out & unlocked? It doubles the owner's triggered abilities."Destroyed instead of 1 damage."
Sounds like Sawblade Skinripper was given deathtouch. There's 4 different cards in Duskmourn that could have done that.
