I had just been made to sacrifice 2 permanents by an attacking Idol of the False Gods, then blocked, had a swamp and a mountain available, but couldn't cast Orcish Medicine to give either creature Indestructible. The game didn't even pause after declare blockers phase to allow me to play either of my instants.
