Bug with The One Ring and Proliferate in MTG Arena
I’m writing to report a bug that occurred during a recent game in MTG Arena involving the protection from everything effect of The One Ring.
Here are the details:
During my turn, I cast The One Ring, which granted me protection from everything until my next turn.
My opponent then activated a proliferate effect, which added a poison counter to me. However, with protection from everything active, I should not have been able to receive any poison counters.
I had 9 poison counters before the proliferate effect, and the additional counter caused me to lose the game even though I should have been protected.
I have attached two screenshots showing:
The activation of The One Ring.
The moment I received the poison counter via proliferate despite the protection being active.
Could you please review this interaction and confirm if this is a bug?
Thank you for your help,

Protection only does four specicifc things, protection from everything likewise. And proliferating does none of them, so protection doesn't help against it.
What protection does (DEBT):
D amage is prevented
E nchanting Equipping is not possible
B locking is not possible
T argeting is not possibleOf those only the T comes close, but not close enough, since proliferating doesn't target anything. The affected objects and players are simply chosen when proliferating is done, AS it is done. Being affetced does not make something or someone a target. Only the word "target" does.
