Maelstrom Omen Instant didn't provide counter option
Had Maelstrom of the Spirit Dragon out (provides 1 mana of any colour for Dragons or Omens) and had Runescale Stormbrood in my hand. I had mana available. Opponent casted a 4 mana spell, which I should have been able to counter, and went without providing an Instant cast resolve step.

A 4 mana spell is not a legal target for Chilling Screech. That Omen can only counter spells with mana value 2 or less.
