Alchemy
Sick of losing in games to stupid unbalanced alchemy cards.....keep alchemy to alchemy games. I don't like it and it ruins all the other game modes. You should be able, at least, to toggle alchemy off so you are not matched against any decks with alchemy cards. It's a rubbish format that has to default to it when choosing a game to falsy show it's been played when most ppl play by accident.

Bloodthirsty conqueror enters the field and it’s an automatic win, please remove it from alchemy or standard or from any type of game format, or do you really not care about these game flaws? Isn't for that reason why there are different game formats?

Dear WOTC,
It is no shock that 95% of your community hates Alchemy. It's probably one of the worst ideas you have ever come up with. Not only are the cards completely broken, you force players to have to face them in Brawl. Brawl is the closest product you offer to Duel Commander on Arena, yet you don't adhere to its ban list, you make rebalancings that are not logical according to the power level and force feed players the Alchemy card pool. The result is that a Brawl player who wants to get as close as possible to paper magic has to play with a nerfed Guide of Souls or Teferi, time raveler, while its opponents can play Oracles of the Alpha, Mythweaver Poqs and other completely unbalanced cards. This is terribly frustrating, and makes every Brawl player who likes paper magic want to not ever touch the format again. In fact, personally, the only reason I keep playing Brawl is because MTGO is too expensive, otherwise I would have ditched the format years ago.
My suggestions to improve this situation are quite simple:
1 - Segregate Alchemy from Brawl. You can still have an Alchemy Brawl format for those who wish to play with this card pool.
2 - Remove rebalancings such as Teferi, time raveler, guide of souls, etc. in Brawl. They make no sense in a format where you are allowing Chrome moxes and other incredibly powerful cards.
3 - Get more in line with the Duel Commander ban list. There is also no reason to ban cards such as Drannith Magistrate or Medling Mage. I get it, people want to cast their commanders, but these are cards that are part of a game of Commander, and you do not need to infantilize your Arena players.
4 - We are still missing an incredibly large card pool in Brawl, even from very recent sets. Some examples include Pyrogoyf, Broadside Bombardiers, etc, etc. While I understand that including all new cards is a big effort, you are at the same time producing new Alchemy cards 95% of your community hates. Why not devoting that effort to actually include cards you release in paper sets?While I understand your view might not be aligned with mine, I hope you can give a consideration to some of these ideas, which in my honest opinion, they would greatly improve the Brawl experience on Arena.

Get rid of Alchemy. It sucks. It's no fun playing against people who use Alchemy cards when I'm just trying to replicate the experience of playing with real cards. It's impossible to keep track of everything Alchemy cards do and I really just hate seeing them in Brawl games.

March 5th and you still haven't removed bloodthirsty conqueror from alchemy or standard at the very least, this is very annoying, maybe we should all go for this winner bug and not use strategy or other colors that won't give you a sure and easy win

I agree wholeheartedly. I cannot stand alchemy and I've hated it since its very beginning. I simply can't believe that there isn't a single format on Arena that excludes alchemy cards. I hate what it has done to the game.

Heist Mechanism is getting stronger, not nerfed, because of stupid card changes.
I can't do it because my opponent's choice is too slow.
It's a stupid game where you wait for many turns and your opponent draws many cards with chorus cards, making alchemy less diverse and boring.Please nerf it as soon as possible

I completely agree with this opinion. Brawl is the closest thing we have to Duel Commander on Arena. And not only does the format not follow the Ban List of Duel Commander (i.e. Mana Drain, The One Ring are legal for some inexplicable reason), but Alchemy cards completely ruin the experience for me. They are completely unbalanced, f.i. Cabaretti Rebels, Oracle of the Alpha, Buxton, and put the player that wants to build a paper-like deck in a complete disadvantage. It's not fun, it's not fair, and overall, I hate playing Brawl because of this. So please, separate Alchemy from Brawl, and let people who want to play Alchemy cards to face other people who want to play Alchemy cards, like you already do in formats like Standard and Explorer.

It's 2025 and I still have to deal with Alchemy cards in Historic. I don't want to buy those cards, I don't want to use those cards, and I definitely don't want to play against those cards. Historic should not have Alchemy cards in it. The conjure and perpetual mechanics are not fun to play against unless you are using them yourself.

alchemy is not fun to play against, it's a set that is designed to break core rules harder than paper could feasibly allow. often un-interactably undercosted, it's a clear cash grab that weakens the brand.

I really find the Brawl format interesting and from time to time when there are some Brawl events offered on MTGA I play them and enjoy them very very much. But then I try playing Brawl outside these events (Historic brawl??). It is the worst experience of my live. I hate Magic. There are some idiotic cards, too powerful, that cannot be interacted with, very oppressive and very unfun!!
Mythweaver Poq, Rusko Clockmaker, Nashi, Illusion Gadgeteer, are only a few of these... Especially the Poq, whenever my ooponent presents it as their commander, I scoop.
Please make Brawl free of the cancer you call Alchemy. Or make the Alchemy cards more balanced.
Also, PLEASE offer us Alchemy free Historic format!!!

I can't say how much I second this. Alchemy completely ruins the original Commander format with boring and uninteresting mechanics and game twists. As a player, I enjoy playing more or less the same deck (some cards aren't on Arena) be it on tabletop or digital format. Problem is my Commander deck, which is definitely fine in itself, has trouble facing broken Alchemy cards, making games unfun as I definitely don't want to include non-existing cards myself. Make an Alchemy Brawl queue or whatever, and make a true Duel Commander queue (with 40 starting life while we're at it).

I agree as well, please remove Alchemy from Historic Brawl, Alchemy should have its own Brawl format separate from Historic Brawl. I play the Historic Brawl as a paper/tabletop replacement, and Alchemy does not exist in paper/tabletop so should not exist in Historic Brawl, give it it's own format, Alchemy Brawl or something.

Why aren't the devs listening to the community?! More than 3/4 of the community absolutely HATES alchemy and it keeps getting pushed outside of its own format, we don't need the stupid mechanics that come with it in Historic or Brawl, nor standard for that matter KEEP IT IN ITS OWN FORMAT.

I'm tired of you ruining cube with Alchemy cards. I DON'T KNOW THESE CARDS. I CAN'T PLAY AROUND THE MOST BUSTED CARDS IN THE CUBE BECAUSE THEY'RE FAKE CARDS THAT I DON'T WANT TO PLAY WITH. Cube used to be my literal favorite format on Arena, but you've ruined good real cards with Alchemy "balancing" while introducing clownshoes Alchemy mechanics and cards that were apparently designed by a 10 year old for all the restraint they show. So much for "restrictions breed creativity." WotC design is dominated feckless children.

100% agree with this. It ruins matches for me and the other player. I leave as soon as a "draft" card is played. If their commander is an alchemy card, I leave. If they make cards out of the either, I leave. I hate it and refuse to play with them. I was ok with the idea of re-balancing cards with alchemy but not this.
