i put " Ulamog, the Defiler " from my hand onto to battlefield with "Thran Temporal Gateway" meanwhile my opponent had 3 Alrund's Epiphany in exile with foretell .
My ulamog had 0 counter on it meanwhile he was supposed to have 7

However you know that the three cards were Alrund's Epiphany, they have been fortold, which means, they have been exiled face down. Ulamog cannot see their characteristics, so cannot reference their mana values.
