Shapeshifter not registering properly in draft
I was just playing a draft with “Vazin, Two-Faced Trickster” (a shapeshifter). I tried to cast “Grow Extra Arms” on him, which costs “1” less if targeting a “Spider” (as a shapeshifter, Vazin is all creature types). Arena did not allow me to cast it. As a result, I lost the match and therefore the draft.

No, shapeshifter is just a single creature type. There is nothing inherrent to it or any other creature type. What makes many but not all of the other shapeshifters into every creature type is the CHANGELING ability. Vazin does not have that, so is just Human, a shapeshifter, and a villain, but not a spider.
