Playing in Traditional Standard. Ruin-Lurker Bat on the battlefield. an 8/9 Kaito, Bane of Nightmares attacks and is blocked by a 2/2 Ajani’s Pridemate and the Pridemate dies. Descend does not trigger at all on the Ruin-Lurker Bat.

Ruin-Lurker Bat only triggers in YOUR end step, if you descended that turn.
