token created by helm of the host don't have a color
was facing a guy who played an 11/11 trample and eqipped it with helm of the host, i used my cartel aristrocats ability to give it protection from green, the token created by helm should had been a green copy of his 11/11 trample but it killed my aristrocat still

Did your opponent have a Questing Beast out? If so, the damage prevention effect of protection cannot be applied, since damage cannot be prevented while Questing Beast is on the field.
