Dak Fayden/Kaldra Compleat
In a powered cube game I tried to steal a Kaldra Compleat with Dak Fayden's -2 ability. It targeted just fine, but nothing happened. I never gained control of it. I died the next turn.

You DID get control of it. What did you expect to happen visually? An equipment stays attached until the creature it is on is removed, cannot legally be attached to it anymore, or its controller attaches it to some other creature. As the new controller, it is up to YOU to use the equip ability and move it. It will not fall off by itself in almost all cases.
