Could not discard for hand size
During ranked powered cube game, I needed to discard by hand size, but I did not matter how many cards I selected, even if there were 7 cards remaining, the button to confirm and discard the selected cards never turned orange. There weren’t any effects on the board that made me have less than seven in the end of turn. It made me lose the game by time because I could never select the cards to discard.

Then you most likely had so many cards in hand, that the game did not ask you to select cards to discard, but select cards TO KEEP. You had to select the seven cards you did not want to discard.
