blocked with a creature that had sacrifice and sacrificed the creature before combat, there was no combat
i attacked with 1 3-1 creature, my opponent blocked with a creature with sacrifice "deals one damage to any target" and sacrificed it before combat, the sacrifice did not trigger, the sacrificed creature died and there was no combat after.

A blocked attacker that has no blockers left does not get to deal combat damage unless it has trample. If it was also the only creature left in combat, then of course nothing else happened. No creature was left to deal or receive damage.
