Body of Research
Opponent played body of research with Chatterfang squirrel general on the battlefield. BoR spawned a 61/61 creature token, and when this token was spawned, Chatterfang summoned an additional 1/1 squirrel creature. For some reason, though, the squirrel also got +61/61, making it 62/62. I don't know why that would have happened. Nothing in chatterfang's description says anything about adding those counters, the token was not a copy of the one spawned by BoR, and BoR's description says specifically to put those counters on the specific token it spawns. Why would this have happened? Glitch or am I misinterpreting the rules?

A replacement effect replacing number and type of tokens created ONLY changes those things about the effect. Any additional effects the original tokens are subjected to will also be applied to all additional tokens created this way. This includes entering attacking, entering tapped, being sacrificed at the end of the turn, and getting counters placed on them.
