Champions and Mirrorform bug
Champions and Mirrorform bug. I cast mirrorform targeting my champion elemental, but when it leaves play the card remains in exile. Why does this happen?

You used Mirrorform on the Champion. This overwrote the Champion with essentially the same abilities, since the copy effect also applies to it. But, the exile ability and the return trigger are linked. The later can only return what was exiled with the former. The dying Champion did not have its own return triggered ability due to the overwrite. The one it had was not the one linked to the exile ability that exiled the card. The exile ability it had when it died and that the return ability was linked to never exiled anything.
