It's not a trigger, but rather a static ability that creates a conditional continuous effect. And that effect changes creature type and thus starts applying in layer 4. While Abigale can remove the ability creating that effect, that applies in layer 6 and does remove the ability. However, since Goddrik's ability has already started to apply, it will apply fully even if the ability is removed. Keep in mind, that the firebreathing ability granted by Goddrik's effect IS removed by Abigale, since it is a seperate ability, that has not yet started to apply.

613.6. If an effect should be applied in different layers and/or sublayers, the parts of the effect each
apply in their appropriate ones. If an effect starts to apply in one layer and/or sublayer, it will
continue to be applied to the same set of objects in each other applicable layer and/or sublayer, even
if the ability generating the effect is removed during this process.
