Kavaero triggering "if you cast it" abilities and players exploiting this using Bringer of the Last Gift.
Per the Game Rule: Kavaero (or any clone‑style Shapeshifter) enters as a copy of Bringer of the Last Gift, but it was NOT cast as Bringer of the Last Gift. Therefore the “if you cast it” clause is NOT satisfied.
✔️ The ETB trigger always goes on the stack
✔️ The “if you cast it” clause is checked only when the trigger resolves
✔️ If the creature wasn’t cast as Bringer → the effect does nothing

It does not have to be cast as the Bringer. The spell that becomes the Bringer permanent has to have been cast, which is the case, hence the trigger.
Also, it is an intervening-if clause, so if the condition was not fulfilled, the trigger is not put on the stack in the first place.
