Can’t cast instants in response to abilities
I cast accursed marauder and in response to ability sacrifice it to corrupted conviction but it won’t let me cast in response it just does the ability

Just like in a tournament, you have to announce, that you keep priority to respond to your own stuff. On Arena you do that by going into Full Control mode. Otherwise, just like in a tournament, you are assumed to pass priority.
