Standstill
Standstill is triggering a second time when I activate a counter spell against my opponents cards that they play. This is not how standstill should work, when standstill is active and my opponent activates a card, a trigger standstill, and my counterspell negates their effect and I should be the one that draws the three cards but instead it’s making my counterspell count as an activation and making my opponent draw the three cards.

Did you let the Standstill trigger resolve before casting your counterspell? If not, Standstill was still on the field to trigger for your spell. And since it was sacrificed for the trigger for your spell, it could not then get sacrificed for the the other trigger still on the stack.
