Deathrite Shaman
Hi, "Deathrite Shaman" somehow doesn't work properly/gets recognized as a mana source. I cast "Pact of Negation" with four mana sources and a, available for tapping, Deathrite Shaman in play, land in graveyard. I should have been able to pay the 5 mana needed for "Pact of Negation" in the upkeep, aut lost though, on ranked.

Unfortunately, Deathrite Shaman's mana producing ability is NOT a mana ability. Because it requires a target, and must use the stack. Arena only sees mana abilities as readily available. So you have to take the extra step of setting a stop in your upkeep, if you intend to use the Shaman to produce mana in the upkeep, and respond to your trigger.
