Infect + equipment bug
I had a dragon with infect equipped with 'ninja blades' equipment 5/5 flying all told) Attacked an opponent with 4 life, no blockers, and the result was zero damage, discard a card (3 mana value) and then only 3 poison counters.
Should it not have been either
- 3 damage & 5 poison counters
Or
- 5 poison counters & 0 damage
Seems off.

It should be 5 poison counters, and a loss of 3 life bringing the player down to 1 life. Loss of life is not the same as damage, so the life loss from discarding the card is not affected by infect.
However, damage prevention effects do affect infect damage. So if there was some effect to reduce damage, getting hit by Skithiryx would reduce the number of poison counters gained.
