gallia
Gallia, the Merrymaker, was on the Board. I played a creature with flash on my opponent's turn. I was not given the opportunity to activate Gallia's ability to give a creature that entered "this turn" a +1/+1 counter.

Was that during combat with Yuriko, Blade of the Mighty on the field? If so, nothing wrong, because of Yuriko's ability:
During combat, players can't cast spells or activate abilities that aren't mana abilities.
