Recursive recruitment
I cast the spell for its flashback cost and my tokens did not come in with +1/+1 counters. I was doing a sealed event and I just got two more tokens without counters.

The tokens enter without counters. Those are added by the spell afterwards. This matters for triggers looking for specific power or toughness. Counters are added based on how many cards you have in your graveyard when the spell resolves. It can't count itself since it is not in the graveyard anymore, it is on the stack at that time. So to get any counters, you have to have at least 3 other cards in your graveyard when the spell resolves.
