Timing rules are off in the game
Timing rules have been off since the last update. I am unable to cast instants as the attacker or defender after defenders are assigned. This has been happening through several different events. Please return timing rules or post about changing the timing rules.

The timing works fine. It's just that seemingly every other player completely ignores Yuriko, Blade of the Mighty and her first ability:
During combat, players can't cast spells or activate abilities that aren't mana abilities.
