Restless Reef deathtouch not working.

The deathtouch mechanic is repeatedly being ignored. As I read from other comments, multiple people have reported the same thing. A blocking creature with deathtouch is not destroying the attacking creature. In my last game, I blocked a 4/3 "Savannah Lions" with a 4/4 "Restless Reef". It should have taken out the lions twice. Once by regular damage and once by deathtouch. My "Restless Reef" was killed and sent to the graveyard instead and the "Savannah Lions" remained.

Sounds like that attacking creature had first strike or double strike. Your Reef's deathtoch cannot do anything, if it doesn't get the chance to deal damage. Because it dies in the first combat damage step, where only creatures with first strike or double strike are able to deal combat damage.
