Sea Gate Stormcaller
While playing Magic the gathering arena, I cast Sea Gate Stormcaller, then Tragic slip after it, thus creating a copy of Tragic Slip. The app allows me to select targets, and at least two of the games I've played so far, the first target I selected only had 1 health, therefore was destroyed by the -1/-1 ability (I believe this was the copy resolving first). Then when the original copy of Tragic Slip resolves in the stack that very same turn, the next creature just gets -1/-1 again. Shouldn't the creature dying trigger the -13/-13 morbid instead when I select the second target that turns?

Well, it should, yes. But only if the creatutre actually died. There are a lot of replacement effects in the game, that exile the creature instead. Thus it does not die.
