Error Updating Data
The game is stuck on startup.
It says : "Error Updating Data - Please check your connection and try again".
Obviously my connection work just fine. I think this is a bug.

Disabled IPv6 on Windows 10, instantly fixed
Go to Settings
Select Network & internet
Select Status
Select Change adapter options
Right-click on your active network adapter
Select Properties
Uncheck the Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) checkbox
Click OK to save the changes -

I just kept trying and trying (like over 100 times), and eventually I was able to get in and start downloading (I had removed and reinstalled app). The download stalled so I kept trying some more. Eventually I got it and downloaded and everything went back to normal. I don't know if developers did something on their end and that is why I eventually got through.

First time getting this error... only option given is "retry"... which only gives you the same error message. Have tried all options and nothing seems to fix it! Oh, and of course my wifi has a great connection and is running without any issues or interruptions.

I had a similar issue. I saw in my Player.log file that there were messages like "[TaskLogger]Exception encountered when fetching manifest pointer file from https://assets.mtgarena.wizards.com/External_2024.35.0.5276.1055181-windows.mtga: System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException An error occurred while sending the request".
On a hunch, I disabled IPV6 networking in my computer (Windows 10), and lo and behold, and was able to load the game successfully.

I was able to play it in my Windows this morning, but later on I tried to play it in my Mac and I started to get this error every time.

Also having this problem and after going through all the troubleshooting confirmed that i can use any other account to access the game so this is an account-issue no installation/network thing. [Incident 3796122]

I am getting the same thing as well

This is definitely some kind of bug because I have the exact same issue on my Android Google Pixel 7. Everything was fine then the 3/4/24 update - boom both platforms died. I have done multiple uninstalls and reinstalls - cleared absolutely everything even reg entries and nothing.
I have attached every log I can find based on the tech articles

@Booksandrea#76130 I can't believe that's the response we get. I've been playing this game since release and never had this issue until now. I'm willing to bet there are thousands of us out there having the same problem, but only a handful actually voicing their opinion. Here's hoping that WotC actually fix this soon. Sucks to not be able to take advantage of the dailies. :(

Everyone this is happening to...I think they believe this is a small bug that affects very few people. So we ALL need to send Wizards' technical support emails so they know this is a real problem they have to fix.

Same issue on two desktops and android. Have not played is a few days so unsure if it is a result of the latest patch or not. Tried clearing arena from appdata with no success and currently reinstalling the game. As the issue is the same on both platforms however i am not hopeful for a client side fix.

Same for me. It was working five or six hours ago, now I'm getting this. Nothing I try changes anything.
