Stuck at waiting for server
Whenever I try to login using my account, the launcher will go through preparing assets then it will give me an orange spinning ring that says waiting for server.
My Husband also has MTGA so I had him see if his game works, it does. his works fine on his computer. Except if i try to login on his computer it prepares assets then gets stuck at waiting for server again.
I spent 3 days going back and forth with tech support, changing settings, uninstalling, reinstalling, using different internet connections. They checked to make sure I don't have any bans or whatever, and then they sent me here.
It started on April 16th, the day of an update.

I went through this long video of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sj7CaCG3BtI which took like a half hour and for almost a week it was better. now it's back to the same old tricks--doesn't help that zendikar is shockingly boring meta AND the game doesn't work

Seeing this also. Have run all the ipconfig commands, reinstalled client, etc. This bug makes the game unplayable.

I've nerver seen a game with so much bugs and problems. The main issue used to be the "checking for updates" screen. Now it's "waiting for the server".
I am done with this game and I hope wotc will produce a decent software so that I can play it in the future.
For now, I quit. -

I have the same issue, worse yet, every time I follow the WotC instructions to solve the issue, it gets resolved temporarily and reapears after one game. Wizzards, please fix your game or provide us a refund.

In my case it turned out to be ISP issues, i noticed extremely high latency when connecting to any US servers.

If your game ISN'T using any incoming or outgoing data this should help you :)
If your game IS using data just let the background download finish :)

I have the same problem, it works for a few days after reinstalling, but then the problem re-occurs. it helped running it as admin, but now its not working at all. Why is there still no solution.

@WizardOC I have the same problem, started at 10 for me today. I did a full reinstall which got me 1 game before it came back.
I've read that this is apparently an issue with WOTC? I wouldn't think its clientside after the same issue came up after a full reinstall.

After first match of the day, got stuck in the "Waiting for Server" screen. Restarts and a reinstall haven't remedied the problem. Everything loads, but never gets past the "Waiting for Server " screen. Submitted a ticked to Wizard's customer service and am waiting on a reply. Someone in this thread said to wait it out that there's a download going on? If you can further explain it would be appreciated.
Currently Arena is using close to 90% GPU when stuck in "Waiting for Server" but network usage goes from 0.0 Mbps to 0.1 Mbps back to 0.0 Mbps which leads me to believe it's not downloading anything and there's no communication with the server.

got same problem.. never had it before... stuck on waiting to server..
but i can say that in the last week i got lots of disconnecting from the server while playing(but i reload the game and could continue playing)

just when i thought it only affects us here in Bahrain and now i see a a lot of people having the same problem, below was the reply i got from your BOT tech supports. so basically your solution for us is just to stop playing your game?
