i have same issue with black screen and cursor, i only open 41 packs with little problems (errors durning opening). I hope you'll fix it soon becouse i have m21 draft to finish :P

Update #1 on my case of black screen (after downloading 190Mb at first launch):
Not sure if this made any difference but I've updated Windows and installed latest NET Framework from Windows Updates. Then rebooted the PC and now MTG Arena opened up downloading 2.76GB of updates. The client version in the bottom left corner now says: 1.1200.0.3138 (3138.816494)

After getting the black screen twice when launching from the Epic Games Launcher, I tried launching the Arena app directly again. It appeared to start again with version 1.1200.0 (134.816494) but then it said it was unable to load inventory (and cards, I think), then got stuck on "Waiting for the Server..."

I quit from that and tried a few more times, getting a black screen again. I've tried launching Arena about 6 times today now and haven't gotten it working at all.

This new update for Zen rising is giving me the black screen. Just want to open my pre-orders:(

I was finally able to get in but its really slow loading pages. I can only assume servers are overloaded.

is there an OFFICIAL MTG Arena status page?

Participated in the Zendikar Rising Early Access event 9/16. Tried to log into my actual account the next day 9/17. Was able to get to the log in screen and submit my log in information. It said "waiting to connect to servers". I closed the program and tried opening it up again and got the black screen with the MTGA cursor. Tried Uninstalling both the regular MTGA program and the MTGA VIP program, then reinstalling the regular MTGA program. Black Screen with cursor. Made sure that C++ was updated per the suggestions on the Wizards troubleshooting suggestions/guide and restarted my computer then ran the program as administrator and still got black screen with MTGA Cursor.

This just started happening again after today's update. First I tried launching Arena directly, and I got a notification that I need to download the new version. So I tried launching from the Epic Games Store, and got stuck on a black screen (but with the regular Arena mouse pointer)

Keep getting black screen after todays update. Restarting the computer some times work, and some times do not. When it works, I get an error after every game forcing me to exit mtga. Then when trying to restart the game, the screen is just black. See attached logs

I get the black screen immediately upon launch following the ZKR update. Reinstalling, as well as updating graphics driver and Visual C++ did not help.

same here, loaded received renewal pack, then stuck connecting to server, now won't load past a black screen with cursor.

i played a game or two that lost connection at the end for some reason and now all i get is a black screen with the cursor at startup

Same here, got my renewal package and joined a draft. Saw the first pack, then connection loss and black screen with coursor and nothing more
