Banning scute swarm
Scute swarm has become outrageous card to play against. It is a card that once it gets going it is hard to get rid of and only way to stop it is with a board wipe. Logical it should be banned.

scute's individual triggers have been a known issue for so long now and players winning by bogging down the game represents a deliberate exploit.
it steals all your opponents timeouts causes any instants to disappear on the stack with no gameplay selections to target or choose mana options or autopay ever appear. It is an obviously an unfixable issue, and you should have already banned it. i lowered my resolution to the lowest option, and still couldnt even get concede to take effect. you just have to wait until you spontaneously die of timeouts at instant speed without ever having the action passed back to you. JUST BAN IT! -

Scute Swarm must either be wholly banned from all modes (preferable), or reprinted to be MUCH more expensive AND also changed so that only non-token creatures have the duplication effect.

There are so many broken cards and this one should definitely be banned. If you have to run board wipes to not lose against it or exact timed removal to keep it from the stupid exponential copying ability, the card is broken and shouldn't exist..

Sounds like it isn't a scute swarm issue , but a software/ app issue

It's rather amusing seeing all these comments talking about how it can't be countered. I play a scute swarm deck and if you're actually better than a toddler at the game, it's rather simple to combat/negate. All you have to do is nip it at the bud or even have a -1/-1 or higher to all opponent's creatures cards. I get countered so easily as long as those strats are done. Just kill it early and boom, problem solved.

you should ban this card, it makes the game crash and it is insanely overpowered for the mana value

Not fun ? Imagine your opponent constantly milling your library till you hit zero or naming a card they dont have and winning the game or gaining 15life and winning, this kind of whinnying freaking annoys me. Wizards please do not ban this card.

Okay this bs the card is fine except for the crashing part. Ive had matches where I cant put a bloody creature card down. You need to have a versatile deck.

Scute Swarm is insanely broken. It makes the game not fun and only causes a ton of wasted time in waiting for triggers.
Reasons why it's broken.
1. It's too cheap to pull out.
2. It's not legendary so you can have more than 1 out only exacerbating the issue.
3. The ability being triggered by landfall in a green deck? Come on.
4. The fact it's copied tokens have a mana cost. What even is that?!? No other copies like that get a mana cost. It just makes trying to stop it even more difficult.
5. Allowing it to be mutated and keeping its abilities. This is by far the most broken thing about it. It's bad enough dealing with endless 1/1s.This card is literally absurd. There is Zero reason this card shouldn't be banned already. The fact is still going strong in both standard and Historic is asinine.
It essentially forces you to either get rid of it immediately (which is not possible with a ton of decks) or run a board wipe card in every single deck just in case you run into it. Which is not a reasonable thing to expect. Please ban this card.

Yes, This card is so broken and I cannot play Arena on my phone. It crashes it always and I have an Iphone 12 pro max

Agreed. I have recently built a deck of these simply because I lose to them so often. They are not fun to play with or against, as there is very little strategy involved. You either manage to get one duplication off, or you don’t. Then, the only counter is a board wipe, which forces you to have one of those at the ready if you are playing against it. Very lame card.
Agree that the duplication should be capped (8-16 seems reasonable), and/or the mutated creature on top of the swarm should not also duplicate.

Unfortunately, it is from Zendikar Rising, so we’ll be stuck with this trash card until September 2022. As if green needs more help.

Only good thing is that it will be moving out of Standard come September!

please ban this ASAP. it is stupidly overpowered. or at least make it so it just spawns a single 1/1 token with no ability. i have games i should have won simply because someone generates 80+ swarms, or because it times out. rediculous

Yes! Scute Swarm is obviously broken. I basically just concede as soon as it hits the field now because unless you run ever-ready removal instants - and I run them but not THAT many - you have to hope or search for a board wipe in VERY few turns if you want to stand any chance at all. It gets completely un-manageable almost immediately. Very un-fun to play against. I feel much of green is un-fun to play against and many green cards are unbalanced as they give far, FAR higher culminative numbers than any other color. But Scute Swarm is the nastiest offender imo, I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I've 'lost' quite a few battles because my time ran out while an opponent was replicating a few hundred scute swarms, even though I could've won some of those battles, had I gotten my turn. Without an upper limit, it motivates players to build decks crashing the opponent's game instead of actually winning

I hate playing against this card sooo much. I either have to get a board wipe or Urgin to deal with it....one removal card doesn't help against a creature that replicates so late game...stupid design

Agreed, and totally out of control when paired with Migrating Greathorn

100% it is a ridiculous card, especially for not being a mythic. totally game breaking every time it shows up.

Cards like Scute Swarm need a fix, it should not copy it's mutate creature only it's Scute Swarm. Or the amount of times it can multiply needs to be severly capped/reduced. It is not fun to play with or against.
