continual freezes during gameplay
My arena client continually freezes during gameplay and eventually crashes out with windows error.
It seems to most commonly happen when a special effect is being played for a card that has one, so the ability to turn those off might be a useful start. At the moment it's unplayable.

Had the same issue until I installed the game on an SSD, now I even have time to reenter the match after a crash or disconnect

Yikes, playing this game, as someone who has developed in unity, I can't believe how frequently it crashes. I mean, card games are graphically simple compared to almost everything... what gives? Y'all need some fresh dev talent. It's 100% Unity and devs, not our sweet baller computers. I'm playing much more demanding games with no issues so...

This is getting ridiculous, I made the mistake of purchasing a draft - I lost my 2 1st matches without finishing either, because the lag was so crazy that I couldn't even play a land before the turn roped out - ****, I had to ctrl+alt+delete my way out of mtga 3 times just to concede those matches (lowered the settings to the minimum for the 2nd match, which initially seemed to help a little, but quickly deteriorated completely).
I ran through some other games to see if it was my computer: MTGO, no problems, civilization, no problems, and Destiny, no problems, RimWorld, no problems.
Magic was my 1st love, 8 years old, and like someone young in an abusive relationship I have and will probably continue to give Magic way more chances than it deserves.
It took MTGA a whole 2 days to remind me why I haven't played Magic for almost 2 years. -

My internet pings most servers at about 10-30ms. MTG Arena pings at 300+ constantly with massive spikes. It is poorly coded garbage.

Same here. Runs awful slow on a brand new, good spec Mac.

Agreed. I've had to reinstall MTGA multiple times (it also takes 2 hours to download <5GB and it should be much quicker with my internet speed). I get stuck at "waiting for server" all the time. It is running extremely poor and the issue is not my computer or network. Please fix.

Yeah I'm just restarting after each match now because the black screen takes longer to resolve than just restarting the whole thing.

The game is lagging really bad. After each game, I am staring at a black screen for more than 5 minutes. If this keep up, I will just quit playing, it is no fun like this

Several performance issues.
1. Takes about 5 minutes to launch
2. First match, no matter the mode, results in freezing at the VS screen or initial hand causing my turn to timeout and creating a match loss. This has occurred in past paid events with no refund issued.
3. First match that actually launches and allows me to play, is very choppy and laggy.
4. During several matches, game freezes and window pop ups with MTG arean logo and exclamation point present, causing the application to shutdown and relaunch.
5. Upon exiting the game, confirmation screen is frozen and takes about 5 minutes to shut down and locking my laptop from doing anything else, ie launch a browser, power the laptop off, etc.I have not other programs running at the time besides a MTG companion overlay. My internet connection is a steady 450mbps. The game has been like this since I installed it over 8 months ago.

After the ikoria update game runs very slow sometimes, using a lot of CPU and GPU time.

I have the client installed on two machines, a desktop and a Surface 3. Both are using the same network connectivity (ethernet 1G on Comcast 1G plan getting 4-500 down and 40 up). Before the recent update both machine would run fine. After this latest update my desktop will no longer run without crazy lag and issues with controls. The interface is fine up until I enter a match. Even playing against a bot it slows down all actions.

LOL I booted this up for the first time and the performance is ridiculous. I can play Doom Eternal at max settings at 1440p over 150 FPS but this runs like garbage? Come on.
