continual freezes during gameplay
My arena client continually freezes during gameplay and eventually crashes out with windows error.
It seems to most commonly happen when a special effect is being played for a card that has one, so the ability to turn those off might be a useful start. At the moment it's unplayable.

Every time I start a game it crashes.

Although I don't have many reported problems like crashing, I have one that is very annoying. It happens from time to time and here is how:
1. Game is running perfectly smooth.
2. Suddenly, during match, frames per second drop to like 6-7 FPS and stay in that range making playing almost impossible.
3. When that happens, if the match is over, after returning to main menu, FPS is fixed but the problem starts again in next match.
4. If I alt+F4, restart the client the problem is fixed until ih happens next time.
5. This problem seems to not depend of how long I play, sometimes I can play 10 matches and it doesn't appear, sometimes it appears in 2-3 match in session.
6. However it DOES depend on my opponent's deck or I least it seems it does. Almost everytime it happens, I play against Gate deck with Fields of the Dead, Golos etc. It often happens while searching a library effect is in play.It happened couple minutes ago while I was playing against player "Daniong" who was using Gates deck.
Again, this is not "general bad performance" bug, overall performance is fine, this bug seems to trigger at some point and immediately makes the game unplayable.
Additional info: it happens on different internet connections and my PC is laptop running i5 8gen, GF 1060 and 8GB of RAM.
When problem appeared I checked my system log and it said Arena was using slightly above 1GB RAM and 30% of CPU power. I'm including output log if this can help. -

I suffer from what looks like a "memory leak" - The longer I play the game, "stuttering" gets worse and worse.
THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE SINCE I STARTED PLAYING MONTHS AGO!!!
The stuttering is present right from the start, but it starts to get unbearable after about 20-30 minutes of play, forcing me to restart. This should have been fixed BEFORE it came out of beta!!! My hardware is sufficient! This is unacceptable! I've given Wizards plenty of time to fix this, and it's completely ignored! I've uninstalled reinstalled! No other games cause this! FIX!

Constant stutter lag, makes it so mouse inputs made during a stutter are not registered. as a result i often end up having to click multiple times on things just to get a mouse click to register. makes no difference what performance settings i use. have tried all the custom settings. seems the lag has nothing to do with video performance.

I am not sure why my game is unplayable laggy with 5 frames at times and maybe 20 average. I have a gaming PC with a RTX 2070 and a Ryzen 5 2600 and 16 GB RAM. My internet conection is not the fastest but i have 16 Mb/s and have no problems even with games like Overwatch or CSGO. I think the game is extremely poorly optimized and this shouldn't be the case for a Card Game. I also have lowered the graphics to low because ultra would mean i have 5 FPS average. Pls fix this, becaus I enjoy the game really much but it is no fun to play like this. As far as i know this problem was present even before open Beta.

So... Beta's over huh? Doesn't that mean the game is finished? Completed? You've worked out the BUGS and the GLITCHES?
...Then please explain, why, ever since your little "launch" the game has now become UTTERLY UNPLAYABLE?!?! WHY I CAN'T GET THROUGH A SING MATCH THAT DOESN'T CRASH, ASSUMING I CAN GET THE GAME TO EVEN START, WHICH, BY THE WAY, ONLY HAPPEBS ONCE EVERY TEN TIMES I TRY TO START IT???
... Honestly, I'm sorry, I don't wanna be the one to come out and say it, but the ONLY conclusion I can come to is this:
You.
Are.
Lazy. You can't possibly NOT have known about these problems beforehand, unless you're the most incompetent game designers to ever live!
Therefore, I can only assume you KNEW but just don't CARE!
I hope I'm wrong, honestly, but what else am I supposed to believe when this utterly broken, this UNPLAYABLE mess, and take it to "launch?"

Arena is completely unplayable!
It is not even possible to play one match, without crashing the game.
I really liked Arena, but it is not fun losing every match, because the game crashes on startup and until i have restarted it, the timer is out and i have lost.
Losing your rank is one thing, but I'm afraid of starting the new "play every card in standard" event, because I will lose two times without even playing.
At the moment Arena is just annoying me.PLEASE do something.

As of the 9/26 update, Arena is crashing at least once per game for me. Is anyone else having this issue with this frequency?

Zanth#95897 commented
I installed new graphics drivers but that didn't help. then i reinstalled the game and that helped the issue. However my internet plan has a stupid data cap so re-downloading a game is a huge blow to my monthly use. Please take measures to keep your game stable patch to patch rather than as a product that is only stable as a fresh download or this game will start costing me more than just $ for gems

Since the update on september 17th i have been unable to play more than 2 games in a row without the game freezing up and disconnecting me with no notice other than the game not progressing. This is beyond frustrating since i have tried everything possible on my end. Your game is literally unplayable at the moment

Game soft crashes with no indication every 2 games in a row since the most recent patch. i have a AMD r280x graphics card that has worked just fine since closed beta. Please give this issue your upmost attention because it is making your game unplayable right when a new set is coming out. Not a good start, Boris.

MTGA has been using a large portion of my memory, especially after the 9/9 update.
Any ideas on what I can do to improve performance ???
The game has closed during matches! -

Same thing happening to me. Started when the "view battlefield" option was added during sideboard screens

For the last 3 months I have had to start MTG Arena at least twice as it always crashes at least one. Since the last update, there are now frequent diuscobnnection issues. Each disconnect means I have to end the programme (otherwise I wait forever for a reconnection which never happens) and restart the programme at least 2 times. Some days I haven't managed to play even 1 game.
My computer is old but by using low graphics it used to work. What has changed is your update.
It is just so hard to play now. -
Rayn Araunt#06233 commented
Since the update I've been disconnected over 15 times. I've lost ranked matches and when I try to reconnect the launcher is generally unfriendly and will not let me back into the game even though the background sounds effects act as though they are. Unplayable, playing cards causes disconnects.

I get 3 fps whenever I sideboard playing Traditional Constructed games. Restarting the client does not resolve this issue. DxDiag attached.
