unable to submit deck friendly play
hi, i tried playing a friendly game between me and my wife and it keeps saying unable to submit deck, i just played on monday with my wife and had zero issues it seems that this new update has messed with our accounts pretty bad. please fix this i greatly appreciate it

I would like to tell you folks a few things:
1) I love this game. I really do. and
2) I can't even play my friends. And it's driving me crazy.I keep getting kicked out of online matchmaking with my friends with errors like "unable to submit deck." I appreciate so much about MTG Arena. It's very fun and beautiful, and I think random online matchmaking has always worked very well. But friend matchmaking is, I am sorry to say, broken, and has been for at least a few months (and perhaps longer. I'm kind of new here).
I love MTG. When I was a kid decades ago one thing you could always count on when you sat down at a table is that you could play the game with the person across from you. I might be an outlier. I dunno that I am though. This seems like a big one to fix.

My friends and I cannot play friendly play since your server repairs yesterday, friendly play does not connect, multiple errors come up, such as connection lost (when my internet is a powerful 520mb so it is not my end!) wrong deck (when it isn't), impossible to play a friendly game, the rest of your app works fine. I am running windows 10 so are my friends.

I am a Taiwan PC player. I cannot connect to MTGA smoothly. I cannot play online with my friends. However, online battles are generally possible. I cannot play until I challenge my friends. Please help me. I I have restarted the game, restarted the computer, and even reset my network. This problem has been bothering me for 3 months. I just want to play with my friends.

Got a ticket through about this and here's the response: Thank you for contacting Wizards of the Coast Customer Service! We are aware of the issue and treating it as a high-priority to fix. Unfortunately at this time we do not have an update or ETA on when this will be fixed. There is a Feedback thread customer have been reporting the issue here if you wish to add to it. Thank you for your patience.

While trying to play a friendly brawl with a historic brawl deck with a friend the client shows an error.
1.- The client shows that the historic brawl deck is invalid because its not a friendly brawl deck.
2.-While editing the deck,trying to fix the issue, the client shows that the deck has 100 card out of 40.
3.- While editing my own decks the same error happens and the client shows that "friendly brawl" is a type of deck, when i change it to "hictoric brawl" the error is no longer an issue but this can't be done while editing the deck prior a challenge with a friend.

Unfortunately again the patch caused MTGA to work for one day and problem still exsist.

Ran into this again today, with the most recent version. We were able to successfully challenge each other once, then "Unable to Submit Deck" happened on deck selection for me when I challenged them. After attempting to push through the error a couple times I got "Lost Connection to Server" as usual and reconnected. Then they attempted to challenge me, and I got the same errors: "Unable to Submit Deck" twice followed by "Lost Connection to Server" and a reconnection. Attached log file includes the whole sequence of successful challenge, error when challenging, and error when receiving a challenge. Hope any of the data is even a little helpful.

After many attempts, I was able to challenge a friend of mine via "Challenge match" icon (crossed swords icon) with the following settings:
1. The selected deck must be set in "Direct match" format
2. Under the crossed swords icon, select
- Challenge Match
- deck type: 60 cards
- format: best of one
- coin flip
3. Put your friend's ID (e.g.: nickname#12345) and challenge each other roughly at the same time.
As of today, 7th Dec 2023, this method seems to be reliably working. At least on the PC/Windows version of the game.Hope this helps

Friendly brawl won't work/unable to submit deck error.
Brawl was working on my mobile device to challenge my friends earlier. Tried to challenge from pc and received an error message advising that the system waws unable to submit my decks. Both decks are set to friendly brawl. Even using the direct challenge workaround does not work. Please fix this!

We make post about it... they redirect us here. The issue persists and I'm left feeling we're being packed in here like sardines so we can complain on end in here without any resolution. Having this issue last for multiple months with no fix but things getting continually worse makes us the consumer want to walk away and that's more money lost. We feel unheard and it's unacceptable as a Brand. what good is new updates and more content when we can't play said content to begin with.

Couldn't play for day X in a row with my friends, but then i noticed an update and saw the patchnotes:
Notable Bug Fixes
Direct Challenge: This build includes additional hardening and improvements for Direct Challenge stability. We are still unsure if this solves all of the problems, but it will certainly help us investigate further. Work continues on this problem, and it will until the issue is resolved
Huzaa! i was able to play correctly in friendly combat.
So far so good, but last patch this was also for one or two days, so fingers crossed! -

It is a shame they don't seem to care about this issue.. at least send us info on progress of fixing direct challenge issue.. if any.. at least we would know you are at least trying.. will not purchase anything from this site until they address this in some way.
