Product Suggestion Leave Historic Alone
With the new Alchemy format, can we please have it separated from Historic? You are going to be nerfing cards considering the standard environment, please leave them alone for Historic decks.

They DO NOT CARE. There are enough morons with money to keep the cash flowing indefinitely, so they do not need to change the crooked rigged corrupt way they do business. I do not spend a cent on anything Hasbro. That is the only real method of voicing my displeasure.

I want to buy the new historic anthology but I will not *** long as there is no historic or historic brawl without alchemy.

It honestly makes no sense, Wizards is lose-losing from situations like these.
They create these new formats without even fixing their old/current ones, expecting players to just hop on to the new formats and forget about staples like real legacy formats. It's just sad People just can't understand that new *isn't* always better.I mean who tf even plays Baldur's Gate?? 3's *still* not in 1.0

Wizards crooks just being crooks. Stop forcing Alchemy on us!!!
And stop ripping off our vault rewards too! -

I will not play Arena until Alchemy leaves the format. All I see now is Yugioh cards sprinkled with a little bit of historic wincons. This format made me spend money after all but now I can't be bothered to play a single game. You nerfed t3feri because it was broken in standard yet you need a t3 answer to all that perpetual ******** that's coming right from t2 on and cannot be stopped.
Remove Alchemy from Historic or you will experience a mass exodus of Tier1 Mythic players who also have a lot of influence in the MTG community like me.
Also I'm cancelling my invitation to Arena Open and all qualification tournaments like I wrote in our corresponding emails -

Agreed. I am not going to type too much more because I would go on forever, ranting (and I don't even play this format or much of Arena at all, .....CURRENTLY.....). Just know this is as CRITICAL to me as a player as it possibly could be. Understand this. I've been a mtg fan/customer since I was a child in 1994 (but I'm not some anti-digital anti-arena anti-esports boomer).
Please stop destroying the game that WE THE LONGTIME, LOYAL-AS-ALL-**** enthusiasts have "grown" for you. This game wouldn't exist if it weren't for us. Stop catering to popular fads. Money ISN'T everything, especially when the point it to curate a fun, competitive game/sport. These last few years almost seem like an exit-scam to me. It's heartbreaking.

Agreed, Alchemy doesn't seem to rotate so what's the point of screwing up Historic? I can't wait until Explorer catches up to Pioneer and then you can mess up Historic...

They need to just delete Alchemy period. Them forcing baldur's gate into it was amazingly insulting...you get code cards a month before hand and then you can't use them because its tied the LITERALLY WORST IDEA wotc has ever had.

This was the most extreme mistake ever made on MTG Arena. I don't like alchemy, but if there are people who do, good for them. But killing historic by adding alchemy to it is completely unexplicable. We want an eternal format that is reflected in paper magic, you've added explore but what about the cards we crafted from historic that aren't in it? I, personally, want to play commander as similar as possible to what we have in paper. The alchemy cards break that. The nerfs without refunds are COMPLETELY UNNACCEPTABLE. This is by far the most disgusting move made by the MTGA team and is making me considering drop the game altogether and stick to paper.

I agree whole heartedly. As a Magic player since 4th edition, I truly understand that the game has to evolve. Evolution is good considering new technology, game play ( I hated ante, but loved mana burn), etc. So when Alchemy came out, I saw this as an online evolution due to the mechanics that can be introduced which would be very difficult in paper. However, I always saw Historic as an option similar to Modern, Pioneer, etc. The two should not meld into one. If Historic is going to be akin to Alch3,y, then we need an eternal format that mimics paper.

Wizards of the Coast, with your digital division under Chris *****,you created a mobile app that has a shuffler for a card game that is not random by any legal gambling standard you catalyze trending franchises into marketing tactics to allure weak minded consumers and “dumbed’ down and changed game play to facilitate an environment for these people who never played this game so they don’t get bored and leave as the veteran players must suffer because you change the product they were expecting to get.
If you wish to silence your customers who are aware of this and all the things Hasbro and Wizards has done thus far that were dishonest and misleading than you will be dealt with again and every time you do.
This is not a G rated game nor do you have the premise to make this forum G rated.
You have over stepped your boundaries in so many areas concerning these people's right to express themselves especially when you are pushing a game you manipulated which in a literal term, is rigged.
That's perfectly fine as there is no law preventing you from pulling a Hook,Habit,Hobby scam that most mobile apps use, but if you persist with your censoring of individuals then you will be dealt harshly with as we know who all of you are and we will give your names out to the entire world community who play your games so they may seek justice how they wish since you hide behind your new overlord in a cloak of dishonesty.
We have the power to completely ruin your company in so many ways from the last hack we did to vandalizing you office and liberating your warehouses in Texas and Belgium as a counterbalance for the things Hasbro has done through the WoTC brands that so many grew up with (along with the people who you ripped off that actually made these games originally:Gygax etc.).
You deleted thousands so far because they were calling you out for your deceitful business practices of the BAIT an SWITCH as all here were expecting MTG and not a cheap app with a rigged shuffler (smoother) that’s coat tailing and integrating trending franchises that basically have nothing to do with your own (Godzilla,Harry Potter,Stranger Things etc.) and dampening the quality of said game play with senseless animations.
You were warned for the last year to change but you persist and now time for talk is over. -

Explorer is no replacement though because of all the interesting JumpStart and old cards that aren't in Pioneer and never will be.
Pioneer-lite unfortunately just doesn't do it and probably won't even when it reaches parity with MTGO Pioneer, owing to the fact that with Alchemy the onus to make properly balanced standard cards is next to zero. Pioneer had a very short window where it was hype and unsolved, now it's just outdone by Historic. So far every game I've played in that queue has been against the type of players I left MTGO to avoid playing against!
I really don't get it. It took a while for people to come around on Historic, but you got it to the point where it was a sweet unique format. You even introduced 1v1 Commander via Historic Brawl, and it was all set up for these recent sets and all the new gold commanders...then you absolutely tanked it with horrendous rebalanced standard cards. The whole point of this format is that it represents cards as they were released - actual history, not revisionism. People like the former and nobody likes the latter.
edit: also it's not that Alchemy as a stand alone entity is a problem it's mixing the cards with Historic that is just terrible and depressing. You really should have kept Alchemy distinct and let it stand on its own, or even made it a separate product where you could really go all-in on the remixing aspect (for example: what about players who can upgrade or remix cards they own? Can't see that happening on arena but that's the sort of thing that might be sweet in a separate game).
I edited this post to be less harsh but really this decision is so aggravating and hard to understand.

Give us back Historic, and stop messing about.

Were any of the rebalanced cards too strong for Historic? I find it hard to believe. Then why would you use the nerfed version of a card in Historic when the original was just fine in the format ? It makes no ******* sense. You're ruining Historic.
