discover mechanic
played a discover deck today that was completely broken, there was absolutely no way to stop it unless you had a counterspell at just the right time.
it allowed for a 3rd turn infinite loop of discovery until the game was won. It was insanely unfair and ridiculous. If this is the way magic is going, im done.

A big part of the problem in MtG in general is that wotc no longer cares about balance and keeps making more & more overpowered cards.
And part of the problem on Arena is that the repeating Daily & Weekly challenges are to WIN games rather than just PLAY games, making people focus on winning as fast as possible rather than having fun.The lack of a chat feature has absolutely nothing to do with it, and I for one would rather not have it added, seeing as how I only ever see people using the emotes to be toxic.

Truthfully, i have been finding the path that magic has been taking less and less fun for the last few years. The way that the focus has been taken away from community and fun into who can been the biggest jackhole and win the fastest in the most irritating way while humiliating the other player....Its no longer fun.
I remember when each match was a fair struggle because there was no way to get a 12/12 creature onto the field turn 3 because there were no 12/12 creatures. They literally didn't exist. Look at the previous collections where the guys from Wizards had creatures that would merge together to create something incredible. I never once saw one used, because they were too slow to cast.
I believe part of why the game has gotten so terrible on MTGA is because of the lack of a chat feature. There is no community accountability where people are shunned for playing ******* decks and using mean and dickheaded tactics. Many of you know what i mean. Personally i refuse to use any card that just "Wins the game" or stops the opponent from winning the game because thats not Magic the Gathering. The Idea is that we are rival Wizards throwing spells at each other. "You cant win" is not a valid spell for the lore of the game, its idiotic. Maybe that makes me a stupid purist limiting myself, but I never feel cheap when i win a match.
I appeal to all of you who agree with me to put pressure on Wizards of the Coast to do something about the lack of a chat between random matches and to put an end to infinite loops when they find them. No other game out there that i know of puts up with that kind of breakdown of the intended usage of their game.
Health and Harmony to you all.
