Unable to Click in Mac Client after KTK Update
Even after fully uninstalling, manually deleting all MTGA files off my hard drive, and doing a fresh reinstall, no mouse clicks are registered in the game client. It loads fine, the Home Screen displays, and I can move the mouse cursor, but there are no hover animations -- i.e., hovering is not recognized -- and no clicks are recognized either. The game is totally unplayable.

Just updated my Mac OS to Sonoma 14.2.1 and when MTGA loads up I cannot click on anything and I have to force quit the application. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling MTGA and Epic games installer and nothing has worked.

I ran into this same issue as soon as I upgraded to Sonoma 14.2. Client is unusable. Surely there's enough Mac users this should be a critical fix?

Thx for the workaround @Number 6#33452. I confirmed that I can play with fullscreen mode.
Just for information, using the [Window] - [Fullscreen] from the menu bar worked as well.Anyway, I really want this issue fixed. I would love to use MTGA in window mode!!!

Having the same issue on a Macbook Pro w/ M1 pro and the latest macOS version (14.2) both when opening the game from the epic launcher and when running directly from the app. The same applies when interacting on the upper menu bar, meaning that clicking on the Apple logo, MTGA or window while the game is open and in focus doesn't open the corresponding menu. If that wasn't enough the game doesn't seem to respond to keyboard presses either, for example pressing "escape" doesn't bring up the menu to quit the game. The only solution that i found was to open the app in fullscreen, but due to the way MTGA treats non 16:9 aspect ratios (in my case is 16:10) that's less desirable than playing in windowed mode. I noticed the problem yesterday after a system update (from 14.something to 14.2) but other applications and games don't seem to be affected.

I can't click on anything after opening MTGA. When I mouse over the icons and buttons, the hover effects show up and on hover sound effects will play. But when I try to click on any button/icon/tile, nothing happens. I'm currently on a Macbook Pro w/ M2 chip and launch MTGA through Epic Games Launcher.

-force-metal -force-low-power-device -screen-fullscreen 1
in the additional command line arguments section of the epic launcher settings for MTGA helped me -

I'm playing arena on a 2019 Mac with an i9 - it has almost always worked great however with this most recent, update around December 13th or so, I am unable to click anything at all.It registers that my cursor is moving around but I cannot click and am missing events that are occurring currently because of this

Also, by "responsive", the game highlights game UI elements where the mouse cursor hovers over (e.g. trying to switch a daily).
Quitting the game in the Mac window's red button also doesn't work.
I have to force-quit the client. Not a good look WoTC!

Thx for the bug report and the workaround!
In addition to com.wizards.mtga.plist removal suggested here I had to update the command line parameters on my Mac in Epic Games launcher for MTGA to force the full screen mode. Here are the instructions: https://www.reddit.com/r/MagicArena/comments/nxqp6q/macos_users_here_is_how_you_get_fullscreen_and/. I'm using -force-metal -screen-fullscreen 1

This is a critical issue and means a user cannot engage with anything in the application on Sonoma 14.2, myself included. Please investigate, Wizards.

After updating to the latest version of MacOS (14.2), the game no longer registers mouse clicks anywhere. A mouse pointer is still responsive, just no mouse click.

I am also having this issue since updating to macOS 14.2. I am unable to interact with anything within the game if I am not full screen. I have to force quit the client every time.

As of today (15/12/23) I'm unable to use the client. It loads fine but clicking anywhere on the UI does not work. Moving my mouse around highlights the element I'm on, but clicking doesn't work.
The problem persists after reinstalling the client from the Epic Games launcher and restarting my computer.I'm on Mac Sonoma 14.2
