broken or not? The game used to be based on 1 for 3. Example. giant grows, lighting bolt, etc. 1 mana for 3 effect.
The game used to be based on 1 for 3. Example. giant grows, lighting bolt, etc. 1 mana for 3. Serra Angel, 4/4 flying, with an ability. The ability is always matched with a mana cost. So it's a 4 casting cost for a 4/4 flyer, and a fifth mana for the ability. GreaseFang is too fast. Even by this "OLD math" Greasefang should be 4 casting cost, not 3. or it should be a 2/2 flyer, with a third mana for the ability....not a 3/4 flier. Broken by the numbers. It's a fair to play card with effect vs. ability. kind of cool. Cost is off!

You're talking about how Magic cards were designed literally 30 years ago. Card design hasn't followed this pattern since like 1999. Not sure where you've been, but you would be absolutely stunned by the power level of Modern and Legacy.
