3. The game is not accessible, dynamic draft fee

   I tried MTGA when it first came out, but have not played more than maybe 20 games total. Now I am really eager to get into magic, love the draft format so I started to do some research on how to get going.

   First of, I am not against using money to play or support the game, I would gladly spend a larger, one-time up-front fee, or splash some money on the occasional in game fluff for example. I do not really have the time to grind for currency, and my preference is to play draft to experience the game in many different variations, and learn as much as possible in a limited amount of time. But after asking around the community I am told that the only way for me to play draft is to grind for in game currency in a format I am not interested in, and potentially invest some money depending on how much currency I can grind by playing. This would then result in a total of 3 rounds of drafts... a week.. at most!!

   Looking at this from the outside, this is an absolutely terrible deal. This surely can not benefit the game and the community? When I have some hours to put into a gaming session, I cannot dedicate them to do something I don't really want to do, just to gain some currency, so that I might be able to play what I actually want in the next session or two.

   Is it not possible to find a way to simply open the game and click "play draft"? I just want to enjoy the game, learn and have fun. Please look at other alternatives to pay for playing that does not alienate and lock content in SUCH a harsh way. Also, consistently earning back the fee is probably never going to be a realistic way to gain the currency for me, or most people new to MTGA who want to get into drafts.

   I understand that if the rewards are very good for drafting, it needs a high cost. But again, for a new player or a player with limited time (and money) to spend on the game, the rewards are not that important. The important part is to actually play the game.

   What about a dynamic fee - the more you pay for the fee the bigger the reward? This way the player base is not divided into multiple groups, everyone can still match up with everyone, but if you are willing to put more currency in the fee you are rewarded accordingly. That also gives new players and those with little time a way into draft, and the ability to earn a small amount of currency, but still enough to actually participate and play. My guess is that would open the game for a lot more people, and keep players around since "the grind" would not feel so extreme. And let us spend money on the game in other ways.. I dont mind spending some cash on some fancy cosmetics from time to time.

   The way it is right now, I will not be playing this game, simply because it wont let me play it the way I prefer. It would surprise me if I am the only one with this experience

7. Opponent's onhover event handling causing timeout

   I lost a match because of a timeout from my side. However, it looked very strange and the way how the timeout occurred looked more like a MTGA application bug or a foul play from opponent's side (or both).
   The story is quite simple. I played on the Bo1 limited ladder a VOW quick draft match against Ozon#26468. Quite in the beginning, I noticed considerable flickering of my cards in play and in my hand. It looked like if the opponent was looking at my cards hovering their mouse over them, but selected cards changed very rapidly. It stopped from time to time, mostly during opponent's turn. It was quite annoying and made concentration difficult, but the match went on. I think I had upper hand and was quite close to a victory.
   However, in the decisive turns, flickering intensified and most likely because of that, my application started to be very slow responding to my inputs. It was very difficult to transit from on game stage to another and I had to mark attackers and click on the next stage button many times to get any reaction. Like if processing on the onhover event had higher priority. Initially I thought the app just got crazy, so I made a quick restart of it. I returned to the match successfully, but this selection flicker continued and I was locked out of the game almost completely. Even if I pressed buttons (like "Next step"), the button disappeared for some time, but appeared again after several seconds like if it was never pressed. Ultimately the game announced that if I don't react, I would lose the match, which despite my efforts to use any possible UI element eventually happened.
   I lost matches on rare occasions because of connection issues in the past, but this didn't look like such a loss. I saw no issues with my connection and the game restarted and reconnected to the match quickly without any problem. It might be a some kind of a bug, but the game log shows a massive amount of onhover events which is not a typical situation.
   I have no idea how these are produced and how the application should react to them. But if there's a way how to trigger them easily by a deliberate action causing a DoS attack on the opponent, you should seriously think about a fix. It is up to you to decide if it was a case in this particular match. It might be just my impression, but it looked like the opponent was well aware of what they were doing.
   Please check the attached logs (before and after restart).

8. Can't Concede

   I can't offer the opinions of others, but not being able to concede is absolutely ridiculous! You are effectively wasting my time by not allowing this. I don't care if my opponent wants to see his/her win. I don't want to have to sit and wait to start another game or to stop playing because of all of the horrible features you have put in the game that aren't there in table-top magic. You've already done enough to ruin the game, why push it?

9. Rank Bug

   I am not gaining rank when I win games, but I am losing rank when I lose, the ranking system is completely broken. This seemed to start when I first played BO3 in Mythic, until then I had only been playing BO1 and everything seemed to be working as expected.

10. Not earning XP for wins

    So I bought the mastery pass thinking I would actually be able to unlock the whole thing by playing, but I'm not earning ANY XP for wins.

    I managed to unlock a grand total of 1 level today and now I am getting 0 xp.

    If this is not a bug I want my money back. Its either a bug or a scam. I'm hoping its a bug.

11. Priemier Draft Froze mid draft

    I had two drafted train wrecked by the draft freezing. The packs just stop passing mid draft. Restarting the client fixed the issue the second time, but I still lost 3 picks.

12. premier draft froze while waiting for the next pack

    I made a selection and was waiting for the next pack. I realized more than a few minutes had passed so I closed the program and restarted. When I got back in the draft had already been completed. I would like a refund of my gems.

13. draft crash

    Midway through pack two, packss topped being passed to me even though the counter contiuned to tick. Had to force a restart which means I missed several picks and the auto pick is useless.

    Trainwrecked my draft, please issue a refund.

14. Drafting froze on pack 3 pick 3

    Hi, while I was drafting on pack 3 pick 3 it got stuck on waiting on other players to pass a draft pack even though I have 3 packs.

15. Puzzles (for example "Win this turn" or "Survive this attack")

    I remember playing some mtg game on xbox360 more than ten years ago. It had a puzzle play mode where you entered a pre set board and for example had to survive an attack or win during your turn. Often they were tricky and only possible to solve making use of unique interactions between cards. I wonder if you have had any plans to implement something like this on arena. A daily puzzle or something like that.

    Too bad these aren't actually playable. It's only possible to look at the cards and calculate. There doesn't seem to be many other places where one can find such puzzles either. At least I can't find much.

    Was dropped two thirds into a premier draft for new Capenna, was unable to pick the rest of my cards, computer forced picked, can I get a refund for the mastery token I spent?!

17. Historic as a separate live format

    I think what’s happening with Alchemy is a fine idea, to be frank. But let’s have separate rebalancing for historic and Alchemy as they are two very different formats with different purposes and archetypes and cards. I think this gives us the best of both worlds by 1) allowing historic to still exist as a separate digital entity not as tied down to standard/alchemy and 2) allowing digital rebalancing to actually have a meaningful effect for all of the formats where it’s relevant, rather than having historic sort be a waste basket format that is affected by the needs of a completely separate format.

    Stop trying to make arena hearthstone. Please for the love of the game don't change already printed cards, and don't make digital only mechanics and cards. I was displeased with the few you did for the new jumpstart and just went back to playing normal brawl, now all I play is historic brawl where thankfully these cards don't show up too often, but now you're going to change the cards that already exist and add more digital only cards to the only format that I can regularly enjoy, and for what? A profit? Is making slightly more money worth it to alienate your playerbase?

19. Alchemy

    Please don't "rebalance" existing cards by changing their text. Print new online-only cards that have new names and new art. Don't cause endless confusion for new players between Limited and Historic, Paper and Online, etc. Alrund's Epiphany, which I hate, should always do what it does. If you want to nerf it just print Alrund's Decent Idea and make it do something else. #leavehistoricalone
