How to report a bug

1.       Give us the steps to reproduce the bug

2.       Note which platform you’re using (PC, Steam, Mac, Android, or iOS)

3.       Enter the actual results you’re experiencing

4.       Enter the expected results of the feature

5.       Add any relevant screenshots/videos

6.       If you found a workaround, please add workaround steps.

 

Examples of bugs: Incorrect rules interactions, wrong event rewards, issues with client functions like creating decks

  1. Please improve reconnection time / roping on disconnect

    Right now, when the game loses connection to the server, it is better to force quit and start it again rather than wait for it to reconnect. On my internet, the former usually loses me one turn (and all 30-second extensions) while the latter often times me out of the entire game. Granted, in most games losing a turn also means losing the game.

    I'd love if the game could handle this better, as disconnects have become too frequent for me to continue playing. Rather than tackling hard-to-debug network issues (there is nothing useful in the logs) I think it'd…

  2. UI Stuck Mid Game

    What happend:
    I was in the middle of a match, and was going to play Sea-Dasher Octopus after declaring attackers, and the UI froze up. Animations still occurred, my timers expired, but I was unable to click anything, pass turn, etc. In the end, the game got stuck at the point where my last timer expired. It didn't auto-conceed or whatever, it just got stuck at the current board state. It has been this way for several minutes while I have been typing up this report.

  3. Losing a rank point after winning

    After the rank season reset I was put in gold so I just hit gold 3 and after I won a game it showed me losing a rank point. Is this another display issue or did I actually go down in rank from a win?

  4. Server loss connection

    Since last update my game is losing connection constantly, while my internet still working fine. So the server lost connection, then the game get freezed. If i restart the game, i get long reconnection time, and after some retrys i enter the game again but it still freezed ...

  5. Duplicate Protection Not working

    Duplicate Protection is still having troubles (and this site justs sits at "posting comment" forever for pictures). I had it happen right before logging out in this log.

  6. Friend requests not working sent from me, friend list is wiped each time I log into arena

    On PC, when I send a friend request it is not received by the other person, however I can receive and accept requests when issued to me,
    My friend list is also wiped whenever I start arena, however I still appear on other peoples friend lists

  7. Match history

    Hi,

    I've been playing for a while, and I'm quite new at MGT both the game and Arena, although I used to play many years ago. It has changed a lot.

    I really think having a match history of played games would be a great tool to learn and understand the game. Many times after losing or winning a game there are interactions which I didn't understand at all. Having the opportunity to rewatch the match would be beneficial for understanding key mechanics and knowledge of the game.

  8. better end step discard interface

    Please create a much better interface for the cleanup step to discard extra cards. Sometimes you need to discard around 15 cards, which means you have over 20 cards in your hand, which is very difficult to work with during the discard phase. The time allowed for discarding should be increased based on the number of cards you need to discard. Almost every time I need to discard 10+ cards, the fuse is running out and if I haven't submitted my chosen cards, it will discard AT RANDOM.

    Suggestion: Make the cleanup phase UI look more like the deck builder…

  9. More information, statistics, match history

    It would be really great if I could display constructed match history (maybe even replay matches), see win rates of my decks, browse through draft deck history, some progress graphs etc. I would like to see all that directly in arena so I don't have to use some companion software or whatever. Also I am quite annoyed to check my Vault progress in Logs, it would be great to see the progress bar in Arena directly

  10. Unable to save selection for default card style from collection screen

    Reproduction steps:
    1) Click on Decks > Collection to browse cards
    2) Click on a card with a custom style displayed
    3) Choose the normal card style and click Select
    4) Chosen style displays in collection
    5) Close collection screen and go back to Home screen
    6) Return to collection screen and navigate to the same card

    Expected behavior: card remembers the style selected previously
    Actual behavior: custom style is still displayed

    Note: this is particularly inconvenient for Draft because the custom styles display in packs and cannot be disabled there.

  11. Selected card styles not appearing in game.

    After purchasing several card styles and selecting them, they are not appearing in games. Currently on PC, all purchases were with gold for mystical archive Japanese Snakeskin Veil, Primal Command, Stone Rain, and Kaldheim Esika's Chariot. Purchase date was 4/23/21

  12. The matchmaking system is pitiful

    Their normal, unranked matchmaking system doesn't make sense.
    If you play control it matches you 90% against mirrors, if you play mono color mirror, if you play agrro mirrors, please, they should change it. It is a real rub

  14. Please add Planechase and Two-headed Giant.

    Me and my friends are all huge fans of Planechase, and to a lesser extent Two-headed Giant. I had never heard of Planechase until duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 but it quickly became my favorite game mode. So much so that I bought the Planechase anthology. I took it to my local game shop and now everyone there who had never heard of it before are addicted to it.

  15. Graphics settings on Android app

    The first thing that strikes me after trying out the Android app on my Pixel 4 is that I would like to be able to lower the graphics settings in order to achieve a smoother play experience.

  16. Mute Pets Only and Specifically

    In Gameplay options, "Disable Emotes" disables emojis from my opponents AND pets.

    I have disabled this option because I find the pets very unpleasant. Often times, I would like to interact with my opponent, but I cannot because I have disabled emotes.

    It would be an improvement to add a separate feature to disable pets specifically, rather than having to go in options each time to check/uncheck "Disable Emotes".

  18. Exert abilities don't always trigger

    It has happened to me, many times already, that when I exert Glorybringer it doesn't fire the 4 points of damage.
    I'm on a windows PC.
    The matches in which the exert failed to fire were always ranked (best of three).
    There was always a target creature to target and no rules-changing permanent affecting abilities whatsoever.
    Once it was targeting Nicol Bolas, The Ravager; another time (different match) it was targeting Terror of the Peaks and a third time targeting some other creature I don't recall.
    It's been happening since the last days. And since the last days I'm playing…

  19. Targeting Issues on Arena Mobile

    Encountered some problems with arena on mobile, mostly centered around selecting cards.

    Time wipe didn't let me select the card I wanted to bounce back to my hand, had to select different card.

    Thoughtseize didn't show whole hand, didn't let me select any card second time. Afterwards wasn't able to select cards from my own hand to play.

  20. creature still dying with protection

    There have been two instances where I have given one of my creatures protection of a color with Sejiri Shelter, and then blocking a creature of the same color, and my creature still dies through combat damage.
