3. this bug reporting site has too many bugs (soft-lock report attempt #3

   Opponent played 3 turns, didn't like how it went. Triggered a witch animation and left the game. No timer fuses ever showed up. He gets out of jail for free and obviously had done this before, and my opinion of the state of the game went to a new low because this has been reported over and over and for some reason WOTC doesn't think deciding who wins and who loses is an important enough part of the game to fix.

   Go ahead and print more "tap a creature. add 10 mana. put a card from the graveyard onto the battlefield. take another turn" card.

   This game is fundamentally broken.

   Opponent played 3 turns, didn't like how it went. Triggered a witch animation and left the game. No timer fuses ever showed up. 4. Nerf and buff on Arena

   The buffs and nerfs on MTG Arena make absolutely no sense. It’s unclear why, when a card is nerfed for a specific format, that change automatically applies to all the others. If a card is too strong in Standard, you didn't fix the problem by banning it in Pioneer, where it is not an issue at all, or is even barely playable.
   It's as if you decided to ban cards in Modern just because they were too powerful in Standard — imagine Fable of the Mirror-Breaker or Sheoldred, the Apocalypse getting banned in Modern just because they dominated Standard a while back. Nobody would find that reasonable, because every format has its own ecosystem, its own power level, and its own unique interactions.
   But on Arena, a nerf in Alchemy becomes a universal change, even for players in formats where that card was never a problem. The result is frustrating: decks and players who did nothing wrong end up being punished, and it feels like balance decisions are being made without any real overarching vision.
   And on top of that, these balance changes don’t even fix the real problems in the larger formats. Eldrazi is completely warping Historic — and with the new nerfs, it’s only going to get worse — yet nothing is being done about it. Instead of addressing the actual issues, you keep tweaking random cards that have nothing to do with the problem, making the overall experience even more frustrating.
   The result? Formats that look “balanced” on paper but are increasingly annoying to play, and a lingering sense that balance decisions are being made without any clear direction or real understanding of how each environment actually works.

   Why should you ruin continuously everything you touch and at the same time also everything you don't touch?
   Please act properly and separate the buffs and nerfs for different formats.

7. Format Care Arena: Alchemy, Historic and Timless

   Formats on Arena have serious problems. That's because, since a lot of players play every day an enormous number of matches, metas revolve very quickly. An online game should have ban, rebalancing, and sban every month at least, but every two weeks possibly. On the contrary, now formats are completely lost and left to themselves.

   I will now talk about the arena-only formats. Also, Standard has problems, but you already know (you should have acted sooner, also in this case). But let me say that Omniscience is completely wrong and should be banned because every time you ban a card around it, people just try other ways to ruin the format.

Now it consistently closes during the second turn, and it is very difficult (and boring, since the matches are all the same) to play against it, since you should always have the exact answer in the first turn.

   Eldrazi is simply horrible, since I don't understand why only this deck can have such synergies that completely prevent opponents from playing. Destroying opponents' lands without the possibility of having a land back and without any drawback for the Eldrazi player is horrible in a format like Historic, also because every other strong way to interact with opponent lands is banned. And also, Eldrazi is the only deck that has two ramp lands specifically made for the deck. Why should any other deck have the same possibility?

   That's why the format is becoming a solitaire card game, and why playing Magic: The Gathering has never been so boring and even frustrating, to the point that I prefer playing other games, and it happens frequently that I shut the app, passing to other, more passionate games, such as a real solitaire. Game experience is no longer the same as before.

   Timeless is simply unplayable, since it needs way more cards to be even considered as a nice and interesting format. You have already added some cards, but this is not sufficient. And also in this case, you have to rebalance the format faster and to act with haste when a problematic deck presents, because the problems in this format emerge very fast, and the format is not old and rich enough to reduce the influence of bad cards.

   In a simple sentence, you have to care for the formats. Now we, as a community of players, feel completely lost.

8. Add a “Like” or “Heart” Feature for Opponents After a Match

   After a match ends, players currently can’t interact with their opponents — which helps avoid toxicity, but also removes any way to show positive sportsmanship. I suggest adding a simple “Like” or “Heart” button after a game, so players can appreciate friendly or fun opponents without direct communication. It would promote positive player interactions while keeping things safe and anonymous.

12. Deadly Cover Up not working

    Deadly Cover Up is supposed to compensate the victim with a drawn card for each card it exiles. It failed to do that today. No other cards were preventing the draw.

13. Two card combos are really cool!

    Val, Marooned Surveyor and Trelasarra, Moon Dancer is, like all two-card combos Wizards has been cramming into the game in the last few years, incredibly interactive and really fun to play against! Please make more two-card combos to remind us how much fun we're having playing Magic Arena when we could be doing literally anything else.

14. Fix the ridiculous Algo’s!

    The Algorithms used for Shuffle and/or Draw on MTG Arena are worse than ever. It’s becoming unplayable. You can continue to claim ‘randomness’ in the Draw’s encouragement but frankly at this point, I’m more likely to win a Lottery… Twice… on the same **** ticket than see even 3 games of Arena in a row that feel even close to genuine. Yes, it’s possible that I draw 7mana and then Mulligan into 6mana+ 1 Creature/Support but on what planet are you trying to claim that this is actually going to happen… ITS AT LEAST 25% of Games > I’ve played MTG TableTop for years and have not once witnessed a 7 into a 6… Thousands of Games, NOT ONCE!

    Also, Cards like ‘Random Encounter’ or ‘United Battlefront’… how is that my Opponent plays a Random Encounter and hits 4 of 4 > A 100% MAXIMUM PAYOUT 3 GAMES STRAIGHT
    I play a United Battlefront and hit 0 of 7 > TWICE!!!!!!!!!!!!

    It’s not enough that WotC have destroyed the value of MTG via disgusting economy IRL and on Arena… it’s not enough that WotC have destroyed the Heritage and Original Vision of MTG by cascading us with the drivel of these pathetic Out of Universe sets…

    Now you’re actively destroying the very mechanics of the Game.
    Arena ‘Meta’s’ are NOT the same as IRL Builds > You are forcing a ‘Meta’ situation that demands 32 Removal + 4 Cards that actually play the, (almost totally,) damned Game.

    It’s also plain to see that spending Real Money on Arena actively influences the success rate of your Games over a short period > At what point does the damage being caused to MtG become Criminal?

    Please fix…no… PLEASE SAVE IT

15. Commander with 4 players in MTG Arena

    I’d like to suggest the implementation of 4-player Commander in MTG Arena.

    To keep things balanced and fair for everyone, including players who’ve been purchasing Commander products for years, Wizards could release Commander cards in thematic blocks or waves. This way, the format would be introduced gradually, not too fast to overwhelm Arena’s economy or metagame, and not too slow to lose interest.

    This approach would also give players time to explore strategies and build decks as the card pool expands, while maintaining the spirit of Commander in a digital format.

16. Better rewards for Draft and Quick Draft

    I love playing draft and quick draft on Arena when there aren't events at the physical stores near my house. The format is competitive and quite difficult to win all 7 games. Arena could offer better rewards to further incentivize the format, for example, offering gold rewards in addition to gems for a certain number of wins, or more gems as a reward to encourage new drafts and more matches. I believe it's the most fun format.

17. Spending Orbs is a waste of time

    I think spending orbs is a waste of time, just give me the prizes randomly.

    I have not written anything here that has been done, but if I am only given this, I believe we can significantly improve the quality of life for players.

18. Can't convoke and pay phyrexian mana at the same time

    I couldn't simultaneously pay phyrexian mana via k'rrik's effect and tap k'rrik to convoke Pile On here. When I tried to tap everything manually, it would only let me use k'rrik to convoke or let me pay phyrexian mana, but not both. I could tap the other creatures for convoking Pile On just fine, just not k'rrik.

    (Note I'm at -1 life in the screenshot but I was at 6 life when I attempted to do this)

20. Reusable Wildcard Slots (and how they would increase profit)

    The proposal: Offer a single reusable wildcard slot per deck that can stand in for any card without consuming a regular wildcard.

    Why it's good for the game:
    - Players can experiment with one card freely, increasing deck variety.
    - The wildcard slot will allow players to deviate from metadecks without a fear of wasting wildcards, increasing game variety by reducing the amount of exactly identical decks.

    Why it's good for profit:
    - When sold as a one-time-purchase account upgrade it will reach a large group of players who would otherwise be reluctant to spend money on temporary or consumable content.
    - Allowing players to try out cards before they craft them will make it easier for player to spend their wildcards rather than hoarding them, which should eventually increase wildcard sales.

    Possible implementations:
    - Sell it as a one-time-purchase account upgrade, possibly as part of a bundle. As mentioned before, this would appeal to a lot of players why are currently not spending any money on the game.
    - Add it as a temporary upgrade to the mastery pass. This will incentivize players to buy the mastery pass early, instead of waiting (and potentially not buying) until they fully unlocked it.
    - Give it to everyone for free (One can hope 🙂)

    I'm not a marketing expert, and I'm probably shouting into a void here, but I just wanted to vent this idea.
