For New Reports
- Summarize the problem
- List the steps you took that led to the problem
- What was the result that happened when you followed those steps
- What was the result you expected to happen when you followed those steps
- Open SpellTable and start or join a lobby
- Select the gear icon to configure inputs
- Actual: No input devices are detected under “Camera Source”
- Expected: My camera can be selected for “Camera Source”
Additional Information to Provide
- The brand, model, and/or type of device you’re using (USB webcam, Android/Tablet, iPhone/iPad, etc.)
- The version or your operating system you’re using (i.e.: Windows 10, MacOS Big Sur, Android 11, iOS 14, etc.)
- Your browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, Opera, etc.)
- A screenshot of the issue or any error messaging received (Note: it must be smaller than 50 mb in size)
- The last are simple checks for any camera/microphone issues you might encounter:
- Ensured permission has been granted for your Camera and Microphone through your preferred browser: Use your camera & microphone
- Ensured that no other programs are using your Camera or Microphone (you can find information on how to perform this check by searching online)
- Temporarily disabling any Anti-Virus programs that might disable camera and microphone access (even if you’re already granted it)
- Tested your camera is working with Online Mic Test

My video will not appear full screen no matter camera or browser
Over the last year I have used spell table and my camera alone cut off a large portion of my video, where there were 2 black bars on both the left and right of the image. I initially thought this was my webcam but it is also true with different cameras. I tested this with both Firefox and Chrome and the issue remains. Looking for suggestion on how to fix this issue.

DEPSTECH WEBCAM DW50
STREAM ERROR. Error Fetching Device. Depstech Web Cam DW50 works with all other systems and programs besides the Spell Table app. Any idea how to get spelltable to acknowledge the webcam? I have look everywhere and how found nothing.

Spelltable Codex wont Load?
Basically when I log in to play with friend they have no issues but I'm only able to detect my own cards and when they try to load its a little white error box and loads the cards on the list as just title and black, not the actual card or image of it.
- Logitech 1080p Webcam

Card Identification Issues
I use the latest Firefox (has happened through several browser updates but I'm currently running 93.0) on Windows 10. My webcam is a Logitech 4k something or other, but the problem will happen when clicking on other players' boards and happens with at least all 3 of my regular group, each of whom uses a different (I believe) but unknown to me webcam.
The problem really is just when I click a card and then player who is being displayed changes before the card identification is able to complete.

Iphone 16 Pro Blurry
Hello. I have been playing for weeks using my Iphone 11 with no trouble. However, I recently switched to an Iphone 16 Pro and have discovered that the video quality streamed onto the platform is very blurry. I've tried multiple camera configurations and settings but nothing allows my Iphone 16 Pro to stream anything but a very blurry image. My friends also see a blurry image. I suspect that the platform is having some sort of bug relating to Iphone 16 Pro data being transmitted and not read correctly. Thank you.

I can get three different sources shown correctly right before I join in but as soon as I do, everyone else's screen is black and has this same message- it doesn't make any sense because I can't change other peoples cameras. Also, I can see other people's camera's for about a half second before it just blacks out and gives the error message for everyone.

I can't see video's anymore.
I never used to have this issue until a few days ago and now after rebooting phone and PC the issue persists. After I scan the QR code, and on every one else's screen, I get the message: "There was a problem changing the camera, try closing your camera app". I have it set up to use my phone and other players can see my set up through my phone just fine, but I cannot see anyone else's screen. OBS video source displays in lobby, but displays black screen in game
When using OBS virtual camera the preview works fine, but when you enter a game the screen is black.
Setup:
-Windows 11
-Google Chrome Browser
-Enabled Camera/Audio permissions in Chrome and windows
-When pulling video directly from a camera the video is fine.
-When waiting in a lobby, the video displays correctly when OBS is selected.11 votes -
In-Game Chat
To be able to chat with your playgroup would help alot. Being able to enter cardnames that can not be found (bad camera) or to share decklists, discord information, rulings etc... was requested alot during my time on spelltable.

Unable to Use Phone as Webcam
My play group and I have tried to use our phones as webcams for this. And it works awesome for the host of the room.
However who ever is invited and tries to use their phone has issues. The whole site transfers to the phone and the site on the computer doesn't function. The display, camera, microphone all gets routed through the phone.
We have a wide mix of android and apple devices and it happens for all of us.

Add a Friends List
It would be nice to have a feature that if you enjoy playing with someone through SpellTable, instead of trying to get their contact info or discord profile, there could be a friends list or something to that effect that would be built within SpellTable.

Cannot use smart device for additional camera.
My friends and I were facing issues with using our phone/ipad as additional camera for spelltable. It seems to be some issue with the generated QR code/website.

Highlight a card for all players
I would like to see a feature where I, as a player, can select one specific card and highlight the scan version in every player's screen. It can be manually highlighted, for example in a resolution phase, or automatically highlighted for every card added to the battefield.

phone camera not working
The phone camera is not working as of 08/21/25. I've had no issues for the last 6 months. Now I can't get video to load no matter what browser I use or what aspect ratio I put the camera settings to. I've tried turning on and off the Configure Inputs option for "Use phone as Webcam" and every other thing I can think of. Every time I try to load in video the QR code remains on screen and the phone screen goes blank after several moments of the "contacting server" message.

"We had trouble using your device" with Surf Onn 1440p with Autofocus
I found a Surf Onn 1440p Webcame in clearance at walmart for cheap and figured it be a good upgrade from me old one, my wifes old unbranded webcam that gives off a fisheye affect while playing. But the new one wont work on Spelltable. Phone doesnt work since recent update that displays all cameras as options
Here's an idea, how about every time you update or modify the software, you actually test it on a number of different devices. Every single change brings so many new problems. Cant believe the QR still points to a ?login=true url that kicks you from the game
now since the update that lists each camera on a phone, the main rear camera doesnt work
do you only assign jr devs to this or what?
Is hocking literal cardboard at a 20000% markup somehow not profitable enough to warrant a decent devops team?
