Algorithm Improvement
I'm sure you're getting a lot of complaints about how one-sided your algorithm is not being impartial and often times screwing over players with land draws that should not be happening in a purely random sample - so my complaint can be added to that pile.
But, an idea for changing the algorithm to improve randomization would be having the program assign a number to each card remaining in a deck and pile shuffling the cards into X amount of piles (let's say 6). It can repeat this process Y amount of times then take the middle of the pile and put those cards on top. A better template would be from the card shuffler for poker sets from stores.

Tienen que arreglar el shuffle por favor!! Estan arruinando un juego legendario, realmente no se asemeja a la realidad en nada. Tipicos errores que se dan repetidamente, de las 7 cartas iniciales te suelen dar 4 tierras y si te la quedas tienes altas chances que de los proximos 10 turnos robes hasta 8 tierras. Lo mismo a la inversa de la mano inicial de 7 te vienen 2 tierras y si te la quedas quizas de 10 turnos te vienen 2 tierras. Estas dos variantes pasan muchisimas veces (cabe destacar que no es un problema de arquitectura en el mazo, porque las dos variantes del mismo problema suceden con el mismo mazo de 25 tierras) en fisico esto no sucede, puede suceder una vez cada tantas partidas. Es asombroso la cantidad de partidas que te tocan asi en arena.
El otro problema es que da bronca hasta cuando te dan una buena mano, porque es claro que esta programado que asi sea. Me refiero a que cuando no tienes un problema de mana, te dan manos iniciales INJUGABLES. por ejemplo 3 tierras y 4 costes altos de costes 5 o 4, inclusive con cartas repetidas 3 veces. En principio no habria problema, el problema es que pasa muy seguido. Como si fuese deliberado que asi sea.
De la misma forma, pasa que hay veces que te dan una mano inicial de 7 que es ideal, y todos los robos siguientes son ideales y esto tambien da bronca porque parece de nuevo deliberado.Pasando en claro la problematica que planteo, para poner un ejemplo de 20 partidas que jugas 12 partidas tienen problemas de mana, 4 partidas recibes manos injugables y otras 4 ideales. Esto se repite continuamente.
Termina siendo muchas veces un juego de azar, donde se compite en ver quien tiene menos problemas con el shuffle en el dia.
Espero puedan solucionarlo. No pretendo que no haya errores, pero si algo parecido al juego real. Que para eso estamos todos aca....

you get close to true random by opening up random text file and use random letters and numbers you find there for the calculation.
since the text file you pick changes...so does the code ;Di dont know if it is rigged or just full of cheaters that can tamper with your library. the only one who knows the answer is wizard of the coast. and since they remain silent....weird huh?
why would people cheat in a game like mtga? to play without paying pretty simple.
why would they rig games in draft but not in ranked?
cause all you get for mythic league are 5 instead of 3 boosters. who cares. but draft is where the money is. so there is your motivation to rig it.but playing draft and ranked ...the experience is so far apart. its like playing 2 different games. seriously
and i draft most of the times with an old friend of mine over skype. and he totally agrees with me. its not in my head. we get manascrewed all the time way to often AND the enemy topdecks way to often.
in a constructed game i expect him to play 4 nukes in a row after dropping 3 rare creatures. in draft not. yet it happens. all the time. i can draft white black red and i dont even see as many destroyers like they play. i never feel that way in ranked never. there a deck is as good as i made it.
in draft it is simply not the case. the weirdest part is while i ***** way to often my enemy never does. he can play 3 or 4 colors and gets perfect lands. no draw no manafix just ez draw perfectly.... while we get screwed. so we think aww ok it was bad luck but the deck is good lets gooooo. screwed again. then normally you get 1 or 2 wins to get manascrewed again. so 4% (3 lands in 15 draws) happens 3 times in a row.
so we think ahhh bad luck lets draft again....same stuff happens. the one game we could play enemy has perfect answers. now well this actually could be luck since it was only 1 game we were not screwed out of 7 ;D
i recorded all the drafts that is just a snipping tool from the last match so you can see im not just making this up.
enemy 7 lands me 3. i even got him to 12 lives. the game before i did even better thanks to 3/3 flying for 1 mana. but of course he killed it. and played out 6 mana stuff while i was still on 3.....

and often it feels like they can choose what to draw. and i NEVER feel that way in constructed. never. i dont mind loosing. its fine if someone topdecks and turns the table. once in a while that happens and is part of the fun!!!!!but if that suddenly happens in every draft game SEVERAL times... .you start to ask you this... how can this be? am i like donald duck?????
then you play some games in ranked to see...and it feels like magic should feel.
but next draft you are back in the wtf is going on here mood. -

Getting a good hand is like pulling teeth in this game.
I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've gone through mulligans to get a better starting hand just to end up with one type of mana and 5 cards of the opposite mana color in a two color deck.
I have at least one match per day where I'll draw nothing but mana (mana clumps in a digital card game) 5+ turns in a row. Decks that I've made it pretty far with in Ranked are completely hindered by a bad first hand.
This card game is older than my parents and it still hasn't figured out a meaningful way of dealing with poor mana distribution. It feels like whatever department is assigned to iterating on the mechanics is completely empty and the employees that are listed in said department don't actually exist. They're just on paper to make the players feel better. It's baffling that, even on my cell phone or PC, an algorithm can't properly sort my cards evenly. You either play mono-color decks or just lose 50% of your games to bad draws. I literally concede 50% of my games to bad first draws and mulligans that seem impossibly poor.
Here's a great idea: Give me two piles. One for all the cards that do something and another pile for my mana. It'll force the player to make the strategic decision whether to draw more cash to spend on cards or skip mana for a meaningful draw.
I play Alchemy primarily, so one bad draw or three consecutive turns of drawing absolutely nothing in such a fast-paced format absolutely ruins the experience and makes me utterly despise the game and everyone who likes it. Just let me decide if I need to draw mana and forgo a valuable draw or if I need more firepower next turn. Try it out as a feature in Alchemy only. I don't care. Just try this solution or, frankly, any meaningful solution to mana clumps. Please. For the love of Christ. Do. Anything.
P.S. I stopped writing this, played one game and immediately got a mana clump. Right after complaining. Thanks.

try to make a causal format that has the deck sizes on par like one 60 card deck max then a 61 to 100 card deck min max the same for 200 and 250 so if you make a fun deck it is matchup against similar deck and not a 60 card burn deck vs a 250 combo deck and you just sit there and are a target for them

I'm coming across an issue that has happened with some frequency. If I share cards with my opponent ,meaning that both players have one or more cards that each player has in their deck, I will not pull those cards during the match. I am submitting two screenshots the first is the game table, the second is the list of lands in the deck I used in that match. I have seven cards in my hand with white mana and I have 8 plains and 8 other combo lands with white mana. My opponent white mana only. Yes I lost that match but it happens way too often that my hand lacks what my opponent has in theirs.

I absolutely **** HATE CHEATERS AND ALWAYS BEING MATCHED AGAINST ABSOLUTE no chance of winning decks. Wotc ur **** terrible corrupted company that doesnt fix mtg arena matchmaking or anythijg. I hope someone sues u or locana whips ur ***** ***** into bankruptcy. **** hate you all cheaters and havkers always giving best products to streamers and tubers. **** off

25 lands in a deck. Can't get the 4th land by 12 cards 9 of past ten games.
SetLands ratio (25/60): .4166666667 (.4) for simplicity
IF 3 lands out of 9(.33) cards is less than .4 THEN draw land.
IF 5 lands out of 9 cards(.55) cards is greater than .4 THEN draw a nonland.Simple ******* basic (learn within 2 weeks of first class of programming) is better than the donkey **** your paid programmers come up with.
YOU CAN LITERALLY PROGRAM THIS THING TO HAVE AWESOME GAMES AFTER AWESOME GAMES BECAUSE NOONE GETS LAND****.
Instead its, oh, you have 4 losses, in a row, time to have a perfect hand while your opponent gets ******. That isnt fun for anyone.
I'll build a **** deck right now, literal ****, and it will win its first 5 out of 6 games because you want new decks from possibly new players to keep playing... You are not promoting the game, you're ******* off regulars with reasonable decks forcing landfucks. That kind of horse **** is impeding real growth and progress.

Every signle game i get mana ***** because, you know IT'S MAGIC. But ffs, in these 3 draft i didn't win any single game, and i'm not a ****** bronze trash player. I should add I run a standard 60 card deck with 26 land cards in it
Once I get going on ranked I get 3-4 games in a row without any land cards in my draws
I get 3 in hand, then for 8 turns straight no land cards drawn and I am forced to play the match with 3 lands
This is clearly rigged, I don't mind losing to my opponent but I do mind losing to rng rigged to MAKE me lose.

Can you please remove the feature that clearly stops me from drawing land cards when I am in a easily winnable position, I can legitimately predict when it is going to happen.
This isn't fun, I run 26 land cards there is ZERO MATHIMATICAL reasoning I shouldn't draw one land card in 8 turns, FOUR MATCHES IN A ROW!!!!!

もしそうだとしたらなら、ユーザーに対しての冒涜や不義理を実施しているのと同じです。速やかに改善を要求します。
また、シャッフル機能やマッチングなども一時的にこちらに有利になることをして解消した気にさせることは根本的な解決とは言えませんので、そこは念頭に置いてください。

I like how tons of other people are saying how rigged this game is for f2p players vs p2w players and its sadly ****** true how greedy wizards is. I tested it out for myself because i didnt believe it at first. You have WAY less of a chance to pull the lands you need at start vs if you are a buyer in the game the draws are normal. It will give opposite lands from the lands you actually need. I even made a deck with 5 islands and 15 swamps and it would start me out with things like 3 islands and no swamps almost 100% of the time. ******* pathetic company. Your game is going to die once other tcg comes and people realise how sad of a company you are. For example, Flesh and Blood and Lorcana. Piece of **** wizards. No wonder you guys never gain traction and your collectors for your pity attempt of making this game more of a collectors trading card then an actual ****** game because of greed.

Something is wrong with the shuffle algorithm, it's not truly random, I don't know how to explain it other than when I'm playing historic brawl 85 out of 100 games I have a bad mana start doesn't really matter what deck I'm using at best I only get two maybe three mana out of five turns somehow this needs to be adjusted correctly understandable bad hands happen periodically but they shouldn't be so often

I noticed this a few months ago. That extremely low probability draws sequence occur far too frequently to be organic.
What I just realized now is that it is, must be, profit related. That's WoTC only motivation here.
I'm close to the gems required to get mastery without paying a cent. So I build up coin slowly to enter the premier 10,000 coin draft. Win the first game easily, next three in a row I get absolutely absurd land draw rates. at or on pace for 11 then 12 then 12 lands of 16 after drawing only 20/40 cards.
Best guess is they dial up the bad draw when leaving it to chance could jeopardize profit according to their algorithms. And/or do it according to your play patterns to try to get you to keep playing.

Playing in standard, every match is either all lands or no lands. When I have 23 lands in my 60 card deck, have 7 on table, and then 5 more lands in a row, there are some real statistical issues. Add in that the next match, I'll draw no lands outside of my starting hand for another 6-8 turns....
There's plenty of talk and "proof" seen out there about the shuffler giving some people advantages, as silly as it sounds, it's more believable the more I play and see how the game is doing something.

I just played three different angel decks in a row. Your algorithm set me up against three decks in a row that had "destroy all creatures." That's your idea of how to defeat angel decks? That's unacceptable. Give us RANDOM opponents!
