Algorithm Improvement
I'm sure you're getting a lot of complaints about how one-sided your algorithm is not being impartial and often times screwing over players with land draws that should not be happening in a purely random sample - so my complaint can be added to that pile.
But, an idea for changing the algorithm to improve randomization would be having the program assign a number to each card remaining in a deck and pile shuffling the cards into X amount of piles (let's say 6). It can repeat this process Y amount of times then take the middle of the pile and put those cards on top. A better template would be from the card shuffler for poker sets from stores.

I play draft and for three games in a row (you straight up stole 1500 gems from me) 15 lands in the deck and I drew 8 or more every game. The draft before that was 3 of the 4 matches with 16 land….this is getting bad and games are turning out not to be fun when it’s one sided

I actually hate it now. The only reason I still play is because I’ve put so much money until I feel stupid for ever paying a dime for this game in the first place.
HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO TARGET THEIR CREATURE WHEN YOU INTENTIONALLY PUT THEIR CREATURES OFF SCREEN JUST SO THEY CAN GET A DRAW? Then because I can’t target their creatures I have to reload the game.. it’s takes about 30 seconds to reconnect. By the time I do it has already passed my turn.
Then, to compound problems, my timer is still activating when I have no option to make. I don’t have to “Resolve All” until they’ve triggered their timer by exploiting tokens. I’m guessing you think this makes it “fair”. Well considering your idea of fair is to ***** my mana to make sure they have a chance on other games, I laugh at it!
I’m changing my rating of this game and I’m encouraging my friends and family to do the same. Every time I load into any scurry oak game I’m giving you a bad rating. I didn’t spend hundreds of dollars across 2 accounts for a coin flip. I certainly didn’t spend money for a coin flip that is enforced by broken mechanics.

So, heres the raw data: 3 draft games, 40 card deck, 17 lands. Game 1: keep 3 land hand, draw 4 land straight, game ends with 19 cards in deck, only 5 lands left in deck. Top 21 cards: 12 lands to 9 nonland. Ok, massive flood, it happens.
Game 2: keep 4 land hand w terramorphic to thin lands out. Game ends with 22 cards left in deck, 7 are land. Top 18 cards: 10 land, 8 nonland. Ouch, massive floods 2 for 2. I guess still loosely within expected variance/standard deviation, an outlier but sure.
Game 3: keep 3 land hand, game ends with 24 cards in library, only 6 lands. Top 16 cards: 11 land, only 5 nonland. Now, this flooding is way too consistent and repeatable to be simple "bad luck". Run a Poisson distribution on any 40-card deck, or really probably any deck regardless of size with the same ratio of lands to deck size of 17/40, in both the Arena client and a physical deck of cards, and you'll find Arena's results are EXTREMELY skewed from what should be expected under real-word probability models. Fix it, that is beyond absurd variance, if it can even be called variance at this point due to how consistent the results are.

I have been tracking and I play off of the draw way more than I go first. It's not isolated but let's just say for example the last two days I've been on the play 1 time and on the draw 6 times. I've been tracking much longer than that as I noticed a pattern where I didn't seem to go first very often at all.
It should be a 50/50 split or somewhere close to it. Why am I playing on the draw so much? -

There is no reason, unless you intentionally destroyed Standard or your matchmaker is terrible, that I should have to play 25 games, 21 of which being against mono-red, just to get to attack with 45 creatures. You need to do something about Standard, AND your terrible matchmaking NOW. It's bad enough your horrible shuffler screws me out of being able to play the game entirely at least 30% of the time, there's no reason to also get screwed out of playing the game by the matchmaker or the format itself as well. I played - and I kept track - 12 games against mono-red IN A ROW for the first 12 games I attempted, and got to attack maybe twice total in that entire time thanks to either early concessions, being forced to block every turn, or burn spells. I was OVERJOYED when the 13th game was against a white deck, until turn 3 came and I hadn't drawn any land, had no board, and was dead to soldiers (the only other viable deck that can prevent an aggro deck from attacking.) Then it was back to another 7 mono-red decks before finally a deck playing Forest, but they conceded on turn 3 before I ever got to attack. Again.
You need mental help as a company if you think that's EVER healthy for a format or game as a whole. -

Historic Brawl queue matchmaking based on commander strength not working:
Since the latest update (2023.26.40.4595.1008173) that introduced the LOTR Pre-order bundles into the shop, the matchmaking in the Historic Brawl queue has been all messed up.
It seems like the algorithm that segments the strong commanders and the weaker ones from playing vs each other is disabled.
I only play Historic Brawl so it was something I noticed right away after the patch went live. I was now facing commanders I have not faced for over a year since I try and play mostly fun commanders that aren't that powerful but now I was vs top tier commanders that I know I should not be facing up against.
I have attached screenshots of commanders I know for a fact should not be matching up against each other if the "Power queue" and "deck strength" algorithms were working as intended.
When I was playing the old version of Winota she would only go up against the "Power queue" commanders because she was (rightfully so) a "Power Queue" commander herself. Then she got completely changed (nerfed) and was put into the normal commander queue and has been there ever since up until this latest patch. Now I face the old "Power Queue" commanders sometimes and I know this is not supposed to be happening. These super powerful commanders are supposed to only be facing up against other super powerful commanders. I then tested with my own Raffine deck that I know should also be in the "Power Queue" but Raffine now faces up against commanders that are clearly not as powerful and should not face up against this commander.
The rest of the screenshots are also from commander matches that should not be happening that I'm 100% certain of since I know these are the top tier of the "Power Queue" commanders. The rest of the middle tier commanders are also matching up against all sorts of commanders that they should not be matching up against. It's all just a mess right now. The system is clearly not looking at either the strength of the commander or the overall power of the deck.
I want to be clear: This is happening in all of the queues. Top tier, upper-mid tier, mid and lower tier. I am only posting screenshots and giving examples of the highest top tier commanders because those I am 100% sure of. But it's happening in all of the queues. It's a mess right now. It just seems like everybody is facing up against everybody, as if the system wasn't in place at all to segment the decks and commanders into different tiers.
Please look into this. It's very frustrating and not in the spirit of this supposed fun format. I looked at announcements and patch notes and nothing was mentioned of the disabling of these matchmaking algorithms so I'm making this bug report as it's clearly not intended.

The problem with your shuffler is there is no consistency , hand smoothing doesn't fix the problem it has only made it worse. New player are not leaving because of bad opening hands. A bad hand can be overcome with what happens after and you guys are trying to control random , which is self defeating in it's self. Maybe you should go talk to riot games, Their legends of runeterra ccg game has a descent shuffler, is fairly consistent, and has new players joining all the time. If you stop making things such a cash grab, actually play test the new sets before you release them , and stop trying to make a controlled shuffler , Basically focus on the game and not just how much money it is making, you will always have new players and you might even get some old players back.

Welcome to the club guys! You will not believe how many people just complain about this. But WotC is just doing nothing against this. They don´t give a hack, because people are still playing and buying. Quit playing MTGA, that is the only way. But even they are set because everyone who quits MTGA and love MTG, will start to play the tabletop game, easy like this ;) :)
BTW thanks WotC for this great community work all these years, NOT!

Third time posting about this...guarantee I'm not the only one. 8 rounds....I went 8 rounds without getting a land 61 card deck 24 lands. Fix your shuffler!
