I noticed this happening after the last update, when the new feature was added to tag cards from the "Bonus Sheet".

I just experienced something super weird. I opened some Eldraine packs I had lying around, and in all 3 of them, I noticed something strange. It said it was the first copy of the card I had obtained. I assumed that if I was missing that copy, I could keep opening more packs. But when I opened the last one (there were 4 in total), this card Archon of the Wild Rose, which I know I already had all 4 copies of because I use it in a deck, came out again

Furthermore, it doesn't make sense for it to say 'first copy' if it's the 4th copy of the card. I already had 3 copies, then I got the 4th in some packs, and even in a draft, I picked up a copy of that card. That's why I'm very sure that this is the 5th copy in a pack where it shouldn't happen because of duplicate protection

Opening Wilds of Eldraine packs. All rares and mythics are being marked as "First". I know I have playsets of some of the rares and its not rewarding me with gems instead.

My cards I open say new when they shouldn't. Let's not do that. I feel like I am getting conned for getting cards I am made to believe are new when they aren't. Is this affecting my draws to other cards or constructed cards? I obviously have 4 of each but they appear like they are my first and they aren't. Made me feel like you un did my progress.

For some reason after the latest patch, all cards are being marked as "First" even though I already owned a copy or two from before. See screenshots for reference.
