Midweek Magic: GNSHAAGHKKAPPHRIBIT emblem You Are What You Eat
During the Yargle Brawl midweek magic event, I had an Ashaya, Soul of the Wild in play and then played my commander Thalia and The Gitrog Monster. When it entered, I sacrificed Ashaya to the You Are What You Eat emblem to give my commander her abilities. It copied the P/T setting ability correctly, but even though it showed in the text box, the Forest land type-setting ability wasn't functioning.

That's because your Thalrog gains the abilities in layer 6. But the type changing from Ashaya's ability already happens in layer 4, and the game does not go back to layer 4 to apply that one, since it is already in layer 6. Only the effects of layer 6 and later can still be applied.
