To Report a Bug or Provide Feedback
Before reporting a bug, check to see if it has already been reported. In the Issue Title below search for specific key terms from your issue.
Example: Shivan Dragon (Note: Partial words won’t show up, so use “Shivan” instead of “Shiv.”)
If your issue has been reported already, simply click the vote button to show us you’ve experienced that issue as well. If you feel you have additional information that could be helpful to us in tracking down the issue please feel free to add it.
If your bug has not been reported, please do so now! Update the Issue Title to reflect the problem you’ve encountered.
Example: Shivan Dragon doesn’t work
Choose the Category that describes your problem.
Describing the problem in the following fashion helps make clear what happened and allows us to investigate the issue faster.
- Summarize the problem
- List the steps you took that led to the problem
- What was the result that happened when you followed those steps
- What was the result you expected to happen when you followed those steps
Example: The life tracker didn’t track my life.
- Open the life tracker and start a game
- Try to remove or add life to my life total
- Actual: my life total didn’t change
- Expected: my life total goes up or down
You can provide additional information that can also help us conclude an investigation quickly. Great information to include:

Game/Match Result in life tracker
Can we add some sort of match tracker for best of 3's in the life tracker? Or some sort of "winner" report to end a game/match instead of just "reset"? Even better if it reported results directly from the life/match tracker to the tournament host device directly.

Life tracker change log
It would be nice to have some form of change log in the life tracker, since a written history is the base evidence in any life total dispute having no change history shown in the official app seems like a bit of an oversight.

Change color in life tracker
Just a small feature that allow us to set which background color would be in every seat. Me and my friend are bound to specific colors in mtg and seats when we are playing so it would be great to adjust which color is where in life tracker

card search results info
I think it will be useful if you seached for a card and once it was selected, the information / description tells you if it is available on MTG Arena

Manually assign / change tabel numbers
For people in a wheelchair it would be very helpful, if there would be an option to manually assigne or change the table number. It is a massive hassle to get to the table in smaller locations. The old system allowed the organizer to do so. Please bring that feature back so disabled people can get a fixed table for the event.

Watermark advanced search
In advanced search, the option to search by (water)Mark does not include the Strixhaven marks neither in Companion, nor Gatherer. Please update.

Leaving tournaments
I recently played in event at my LGS and they couldn’t add someone after the tournament had started so they created a new one. I was unable to leave the event I was already in to join the new event.
So so I think there needs to be a leave tournament option on the app.4 votes -
Incorrect oracle text on companion for tarfire
Tarfire oracle text should say any target rather than target creature or player. I confirmed this on gatherer.

Application Splash Slow to Start
You're just trying to show me text pairings. Why does this thing need to take 30 seconds to launch when I click a round notification? It's more efficient to just pester the TO for a pairing sheet.

-What operating system is your device? (Android/iOS)
-What type of device are you using? make/model
-What version of the Companion app are you using? -
Change app name to make it searchable with Magic terms
On Android, when searching the app drawer, this companion app is only named "Companion" so does not pull up when using search terms like "Magic" or "MTG"

Add Day/Night Tracker to Life Total Tracking Screen
With the release of Innistrad: Midnight Hunt, and the prevalence of the Daybound/Nightbound mechanic, it would be nice if the Life Tracker in Companion had an option to enable a Day/Night Tracker that shows up near the middle, allowing players around the table to easily see if it's day or night.

Card database
The card database on the app I downloaded will not give any results when searching for a specific sub type (ie Dragon) even when using the advanced search

Add an option to scan a QR code to join events faster.

Can’t see backs of cards in database
When looking in the cards database of companion, I can’t see the back/Night faces of cards.
I looked in the database for the new Arlinn.
Found it, clicked on it, and saw its two names separated by //
In the page, I couldn’t find the second face, not picture or text.
When I went out to look for the name of the back, I couldn’t fins that listed among the cards.
I have no way of getting all the information of the double faced cards through this app.14 votesWe are currently working on this feature! Thanks for taking the time to post.

Giving wrong text for card.
The advanced search was set to creature, exactly red, and Limited Edition Alpha. Each card I looked at had the oracle text for dragon whelp. I don’t know if this is and issue for others, but this is for me. (I’m on an iPhone if that helps)
2 votesThat is a weird one, but it’s working correct for our testers. Can you clarify some details? What iOS version are you using? What is the type of iPhone? And what is the version of the Magic Companion app you’re using?

Add x mana cost search
Is it possible to add the (X) (symbol) mana cost in the search not many app does it and it would be usefull when you search a certain type of cards

Commander tournaments
There is already the option to track life for commander games in the app.
Seeing that single elimination is an option already as well, simply applying the option to pair multiple players into the matches (pods), would allow stores, events like conventions, and even at home to host commander tournaments easily.
As a heavy commander player who has to usually govern such in store events manually, this would be a massive help. Also, it would be huge to have such a thing functioning for command zones at conventions like the upcoming pax unplugged.8 votes“Commander Events” are definitely on our backlog! The trickiest part of implementation has been that each Commander community defines a “Commander Event” differently, making pairing difficult.
