In your comment, the screenshot shows the rare you got. Wizards is just stupid and put the dumb alt-art non-Standard card they threw into Standard packs in the rare spot instead of the actual rare from the pack, if it's also rare or mythic. When you open a pack, check the pre-revealed card next to that on the left before you reveal the hidden one. Many times your rare or mythic from the pack will be there instead of where it should be; and what you reveal is the non-Standard whatever card.

Why is it, Wizards, that whenever I queue in either ranked or play I only get paired specifically against my worst possible matchup no matter what deck I pick? Why do you do that? All I want is to get my dailies done and get off this miserable platform that is constantly out to get me. You've ruined the fun of Magic for me. I can't afford to play anything beside Standard thanks to you as it is.
I queue with mono-red I get paired against control, and get the worst possible hands, or the EXTREMELY RARE midrange deck, or mono-red mirrors for hours. I get mad, change decks to beat red, and suddenly my opponents are playing exactly the decks to beat THAT (usually control again, which is horrible to play against and you should never have facilitated THAT nightmare) and there's no red anywhere. I get mad and try control? Nothing but red again, except they have the perfect hand every game. Try blue? Only red and soldiers or an absolutely abysmal-to-play control opponent again. Try ramp? Red or mono-blue. The only way I ever get wins on this client is when an opponent scoops early, has a bad hand, or both. Even on that 1% chance I get a good matchup, your rigged shuffler screws me out of lands, or feeds me nothing but, and I lose anyway. There is no way to brew a deck that can beat hyper-aggro, mid-range, AND control at the same time. Instead, if the match-making were fair like it's supposed to be, this wouldn't be an issue.
You can not prove that you even tried testing this ****, because all the evidence in the world proves otherwise. Stop wasting money paying to use all those other IPs to cater to only the whales, and actually care about your product again. Arena STILL needs a lot of help, and it always has - you just stopped caring and it shows.An error occurred while saving the comment Bragh#13431

There is no reason, unless you intentionally destroyed Standard or your matchmaker is terrible, that I should have to play 25 games, 21 of which being against mono-red, just to get to attack with 45 creatures. You need to do something about Standard, AND your terrible matchmaking NOW. It's bad enough your horrible shuffler screws me out of being able to play the game entirely at least 30% of the time, there's no reason to also get screwed out of playing the game by the matchmaker or the format itself as well. I played - and I kept track - 12 games against mono-red IN A ROW for the first 12 games I attempted, and got to attack maybe twice total in that entire time thanks to either early concessions, being forced to block every turn, or burn spells. I was OVERJOYED when the 13th game was against a white deck, until turn 3 came and I hadn't drawn any land, had no board, and was dead to soldiers (the only other viable deck that can prevent an aggro deck from attacking.) Then it was back to another 7 mono-red decks before finally a deck playing Forest, but they conceded on turn 3 before I ever got to attack. Again.
You need mental help as a company if you think that's EVER healthy for a format or game as a whole.Bragh#13431

Agreed. I hate this too. I can't even get all the rares I need to play in Standard before several more sets drop. I was happy when LotR dropped because I didn't have to care - though the golden packs still forced it on me instead of something I actually wanted, but it could have been worse. With this, there's no reason for there to be LotR cards in golden packs any more. None. Let the people who want to play those cursed Alchemy-tainted formats go through the extra effort. Don't force it on everyone. It's bad enough this set won't be impactful enough to change Standard.
