Black screen on match start
While in the menu everything is ok but when match start the screen become black but the sound still ok (if i move the cursor i can ear the sound of card mulligan).
The only whay to not concede is to set the resolution on the lowest, but usually cause visual bug on the board or/and artwork on the card disappear.
Please fix this issue, i'm loving this game

Same here, since the update i cant play MTGA arena on windows or OSX, the black screen remains and the music still plays for a few minutes and then nothing happens. On both OS the problem is the same since the last update.

I am getting after the message "loading initial scene" a waiting for server moment and then a black screen with the mtga sound.

I have the same issue. When starting the game client (every time), the game attempts to load, gets to the point of loading the initial scene, then waits for the server, and then just displays a black screen with the usual game cursor and music. The game sits on the black screen no matter how long I wait after that point. Troubleshooting efforts that I have already taken (which have not solved the problem) include: restarting the computer; adjusting firewall settings; flush DNS cache and winsock reset (with additional computer restart); router restart; temporarily disable firewall for game client restart. I am in the USA and not using a VPN. This has been an issue for 18+ hours.
I also noticed the following issues mentioned in my player log:

I have a Mac and PC that I use to play MTGA. As of this morning my account stalls at the black screen after the connecting to server text on both machines. My daughter's account on the other hand works fine on both computers. Yesterday after the update I was able to play fine until the evening when I came back from a long break. At that point I encountered the black screen issue for the first time. I was able to use the two client/second account workaround (via my daughter's account) to get my account login again working at that point, but as of today that method no longer works at all.

Unbelievable. I dropped a good bit of money in anticipation of this. Why provide pre-orders for content, why advertise it is "Unlocking 9/17"?
At the very least ACKNOWLEDGE THIS ISSUE.

Adding one more log to the fire. Black screen error still occurring when launching Arena (pass through initial loading then to "Waiting for Server" followed by black screen with music). The last posted communication from WoTC is a vague "maybe it's getting better" from 12+ hours ago. This is unacceptable. At a bare minimum, you need to be pushing high visibility communication updates to let people know you are at least aware there is still a widespread problem, rather than leaving people to wonder if they are part of some small minority with a bug.

I have the black screen too: every time now, at start-up (i see the loading indicator & texts, then a black screen, with the cursor visible and movable).
I tried all the network hacks (deco reco, second session on another comp to force a reconnect, etc), none worked.
ps: it worked after the update yesterday, and this morning too! This is new for me, maybe linked to a post-update fix. -

Same problem here. It starts to open, there are messages like "initializing scene" and then only a black screen with cursor.
