Algorithm Improvement
I'm sure you're getting a lot of complaints about how one-sided your algorithm is not being impartial and often times screwing over players with land draws that should not be happening in a purely random sample - so my complaint can be added to that pile.
But, an idea for changing the algorithm to improve randomization would be having the program assign a number to each card remaining in a deck and pile shuffling the cards into X amount of piles (let's say 6). It can repeat this process Y amount of times then take the middle of the pile and put those cards on top. A better template would be from the card shuffler for poker sets from stores.

Its absolutely mond blowing how many straight games you'll play when one player has EVERY DINGLE CARD THEY PLAY flawlessly answered by the other. It seriously feels like a choreographed dance. But the worst thing is being lied to. It's shameful. Nobody would complain if you w the just honest. But instead of being honest, wizards employees get part of the community to gaslight the rest of us. It really is disgusting.

When I began playing arena I only used starter decks. For the most part, I played matches against similar power level decks and it was enjoyable. Later I buit my own, better decks and I got matches agaisnt stronger decks. But now if I try using those starter decks, with no changes to the decklist, I still only get matches agaisnt strong decks, and those games are absolutly noy enjoyable. Am I now not able to get decent mathces if I using lower powered decks?

had enough with constantly being matched up against Rusko; the Alchemy card that shouldn't be in Historic Brawl to begin with. As much as I would enjoy a tirade to hate on Alchemy cards being put into other lanes of play, that's another subject. HOWEVER, I keep playing against him when I play Yawgmoth, Thran Physician. Your pairing system has me play a small pool of decks when I play that deck and that itself is dogwater and nonsense. BUT, did you really have to help Rusko, as a commander??? The card is too much value by itself, and then to add your "play more games and create less non-games" by adding the handsmoothing. You get players who almost constitantly to a clock, pun intended, get turn two Rusko by Island, swamp- dark ritual, since it's a playable/handsmoothable card, it occurs more than often. I'm tired of it. RUSKO is ruining the only format I play. Either remove Rusko, or nerd him or figure it out. A card that's being cheated turn 2 most games that create a mana rock/ clock for Wash away, another handsmoothable card. Makes non-games. I hate it. Fix this I am so tired of it. I wish you would create a non-alchemy commander based game. These cards paired with your handsmoother is ruining the game for me by siding with the opponent who is taking advantage of it. Rusko is too strong and appears too often.

On the contrary, 12x on the draw is very well possible. The chances are low, but 1/4096 is also a far cry from impossible. And 20x on the play with 35x on the draw in 55 tries are only 7.5 away from the expected average. A sample size of only 55 is also very small and hardly indicative of anything. Come back when your sample size has reached a few thousand and still shows a signifacant disprepancy.

It would be cheaper, and more inviting if the shuffler was simply random. People should be able to design and build decks like tabletop. Match making ought to be random too because everyone has noticed that rare quantities in decks dictate what you play against, especially in Hbrawl.
It is not helpful to try and manipulate "feels bad" outcomes because it has only brought frustration, and heat at you because now everyone blames the WOTC arena shuffler for their problems. Make it random, like you eventually did with MTGO (shocker). Never wondered why you rarely hear someone complain about MTGO's shuffler?

They will never fix this. The most recent update forked the game harder. Went to play pauper because it was advertised. Made a 60 card deck, only 4 cards in the deck were mana cost 4+. Out of 12 games I got two to three of those cards in my hand. I mulligan, and guess what? Right back in my hand. You only need 3 wins to get the prize, and out of 12 games, I finally got one win. How? The opponent quit before we began playing. 60 cards and only mana I get is of the color not in my hand, I get spells and no creatures. The game is RIGGED! Even the response from e-mail is canned and ignored by real people.

This game is **** trash. The it pairs you against decks that are guaranteed to beat you no matter what happens. For example i have a deck with 4 sheoldreds, 4 orcish bow masters and im against a deck of nothing but draw and i dont see a single one the entire game..... **** no chance in helllllll. Get rid of ALCHEMY CARDS IN HISTORIC ITS NOT FAIR U CHEAT ENABLERS. I HOPE LORCANA BRINGS AND END TO WOTC AND THEIR BS GAME AND OVER PRODUCTION OF PRODUCT. BOOOOOO YOU SUCK

The land algorithm is beyond warped. I was running 16 lands in a draft deck and i drew and played 15 land while i still had 17 cards left in library. Only one of those 17 was land, how is it possible that over 75% of my nonland cards were at the bottom of my library?

Basically, title.
Here's what it basically is: it's like you're going second, but you have a restricted (one copy), instant speed, zero mana card in your hand that you can cast on your oppoonent's upkeep, that ends the opponent's turn, and just to be safe it has split second. It's also always in your opening hand if you're going second, and it's removed from your deck if you're going first.
That card is so powerful that everyone would play it. And the person going 'first' basically gets that card every game (they draw after they play it, so they go back up to 7 cards). In fact, the reality is even better because they know what the new 7th card they're going to have is before they start the game.
One extra card draw does not counteract such power, particularly when the biggest issue when going second is the tempo the first player has from that whole extra turn - typically, you're not dying because you run out of cards, you're dying because they had a whole extra turn to play their's.

Starting hand has multiple of the same card. Not even kidding. I have played 4 games with a new deck I built. Of the four games I have played, two of them my starting hand had THREE of my four "Palantir of Orthanc" cards. This is insane. It's a legendary so multiple is completely useless. On one of those games I mulliganed, and got two "Palantir of Orthanc" cards in my starting hand. "Are you kidding me". Then I draw a card on my first turn... and it is a "Palantir of Orthanc" card.
This just makes me want to scream. But it gets even better. My opponent apparently drew and played three.... THREE identical destroy target artifact cards. He also got an unrealistic 3 identical cards in his starting hand, that happen to be only useful in destroying artifacts.
You need to program that a person cannot draw more than 2 of the same legendary card in their starting hand. When I have four of one card and two of my first four games I draw three of the same legendary card.... you have a serious programming problem.
My account is ThePointofGlory#53153... I request you work on this issue and prohibit the program from giving any player more than two of the same legendary card in the starting hand and if possible, in the first 10 cards.
I also ask that you provide me 20,000 gold in compensation for the trouble this has caused me and my willingness to report this issue accurately to the best of my knowledge.
Thank you.

Sort out your NON RANDOM matchmaking shuffler and get rid of BOTS. Playing MTG in the reaL world since beta release I can definately say your online game is not even remotely close to whatb playing magic on a tabletop is like. SORT out your mess of a game. Simple make it actually RANDOM..... not perverted to line your pockets. SHAME on you.

Why is it, Wizards, that whenever I queue in either ranked or play I only get paired specifically against my worst possible matchup no matter what deck I pick? Why do you do that? All I want is to get my dailies done and get off this miserable platform that is constantly out to get me. You've ruined the fun of Magic for me. I can't afford to play anything beside Standard thanks to you as it is.
I queue with mono-red I get paired against control, and get the worst possible hands, or the EXTREMELY RARE midrange deck, or mono-red mirrors for hours. I get mad, change decks to beat red, and suddenly my opponents are playing exactly the decks to beat THAT (usually control again, which is horrible to play against and you should never have facilitated THAT nightmare) and there's no red anywhere. I get mad and try control? Nothing but red again, except they have the perfect hand every game. Try blue? Only red and soldiers or an absolutely abysmal-to-play control opponent again. Try ramp? Red or mono-blue. The only way I ever get wins on this client is when an opponent scoops early, has a bad hand, or both. Even on that 1% chance I get a good matchup, your rigged shuffler screws me out of lands, or feeds me nothing but, and I lose anyway. There is no way to brew a deck that can beat hyper-aggro, mid-range, AND control at the same time. Instead, if the match-making were fair like it's supposed to be, this wouldn't be an issue.
You can not prove that you even tried testing this ****, because all the evidence in the world proves otherwise. Stop wasting money paying to use all those other IPs to cater to only the whales, and actually care about your product again. Arena STILL needs a lot of help, and it always has - you just stopped caring and it shows.
