shuffler
Fix your Shuffler Arena. I am so sick and tired of the insane game swings of one game getting completely mana screwed and the very next game getting completely flooded. It never fails. If lose for bad plays on my own part, fine. But I am so **** tired of losing because of severe mana ***** or flood. FIX. YOUR. SHUFFLER.

I have read various posts posted on various forums that people are having the same experiences. I guess that proves Wizards point that because we're all stuck with this **** doggle of a shuffler it's fair. Which is completely void of providing an enjoyable familiar magic experience.
I noticed the fanboy apologist are quick to censor and or downvote anybody questioning the shuffler, trying to control narrative. Maybe it's Wizards themselves controlling some of these forums . Some basic acknowledgment from the company that there is in fact some issues with the shuffler would be a starting point trying to fix this. I guess the question is whether or not they even have the capability to fix the shuffler and if in fact they wanna fix it.
If the goal is to make money I'm pretty sure the game experience reflects what people are willing to spend. They might be making money off of people willing to spend a few hundred dollars every set that's coming out, but then you have various people that are not going to spend money because of the game experience.
I certainly don't want the shuffler to provide me with a good experience, meaning scripted; but I think everyone just wants true random experiences. The player wants to feel that their win or loss was within their control or own doing, along with the basic fact that magic at times is a matter of luck...depending how your deck is built. Chance has always been a factor of any card game.
Perhaps Wizards is making enough money off of magic Arena to leave the shuffler as it is.
On a side note it would be intriguing to incorporate the possibility of being able to get physical copies of cards you pay good money for digitally.
The platform has great potential to intrigue people to spend money. It would be nice to see some innovations in terms of game modes like two-headed giant.
I think out of anything all people are asking for is some acknowledgment of the issues.

Shuffler is appalling, why can't you ever listen to the players. Please don't tell me it's well tested and works. it does not. Just played a game with 20 versions of one card and couldn't draw one in the first 24 cards. Do realize how unlikely that is to happen in a 60 cards deck.....Shuffler is broken and for pity's sake just look at all the complaints

Yup, check out how my deck didn't shuffle after a Mulligan at all. The cards got thrown to the bottom of my deck and I drew land the rest of the game.

its a rigged shuffler. Data leaks prove it is designed to rig certain games depending on spent money. Why do you think mono red agro does so well? Because it can win with 1 land on the battle field.

You have the worst ******* code I've ever seen. You clearly rig the game in a terrible way, just let it be TRUE RNG, stop trying to force hands, it's such ******* ********.
In 200 games I have gone 2nd, TWO HUNDRED GAMES IN A ROW. STOP THIS. It should be I go 1st, I go 2nd, I go 1st, simple as. Don't **** people with RNG on this ****, just force it, 1st, 2nd, 1st, 2nd. It's that ******* easy.
And remove your garbage illogical shuffler, it is breaking the game. It gives 3-4 copies of cards back to back, it does impossible **** like making you draw 10 mana in a row. (Statisically impossible to happen, yet it happens 20-30 games in a row.) Literally a less than 1,300,000,000 chance to happen just ONCE, yet it happens 20-30 games in a row. Stop mana flooding, your code is god awful trash. I HAVE READ IT. You guys are ******* rigging the game interfering with this smoothing ********. JUST REMOVE IT. AND ADD TRADING TO THE TRADING CARD GAME.
I want to trade cards w/my friends, period. You guys are incompetent as ****.

My deck has 26 lands in it. The odds of drawing 3 lands in 10 cards is 90.19%. And yet, 3 games IN A ROW, I am stuck on 2 lands after 10 cards. The odds of that happening are less than .1% ... No, not 1 percent, that means it happens 1 in a thousand times. I assure you I don't play 1,000 games a week, yet it happens all of the ******* time. Seems like every other day, everyone gets this kind of dickery by the shuffler. Can you explain this?
This is a computer program. You could pretty easily program it to happen zero times out of 1,000. Nvm, that your shuffler does this ******* **** every other day.
Clearly, you are intentionally programming the shuffler in a shady way to promote business.
Go **** yourself.
Sincerely,
EVERYONE -

If there's really a hand smoothing system. Then that should be entirely removed and we should deal with real RNG.MTGA should resemble MTG IRL and you can get bad hands IRL, draw lands all game, etc.
The real problem is that MTG card design has been undergoing consistent powercreep at least since the original Zendikar and WotC keeps designing blocks that are too fast. This current block is especially bad given how much it favors aggro and how many easily exploitable combos there are.
Aggro and creature-based decks can win consistently and have answers for everything like Caves of Lore stopping counter spells, all these abilities on creatures that do things you used to have to run other cards for, creatures having too many abilities, etc. Whereas if you're not playing one of those, you get screwed over if you can't draw the cards you need.

The actual problem is, as you've stated, you have a mill deck, play with something else.
The algorithms are *working as intended", meaning the rigging is intentional, and getting screwed is supposed to frustrate people into paying real money to accelerate their collections for more powerful cards faster. These two things are what make people not want to play in general. -

Can you please STOP influencing randomness in MTG Arena?
Yes, stop influencing normal randomness with algorithms that try to decrease strength of one deck over another one by influencing drafts or opponent matching.Example 1:
I have a milling deck.
Based on Ruin Crab. 4 copies.
For ~50 consecutive plays (sic!) with this deck I only once had Ruin Crab in my opening hand.
Typically it takes 2 mulligans to end with a Crab in my hand.
Not to mention problem of drawing lands afterwards (60 card dech, 24 lands).
Also, it is much more likely I get paired with opponent that uses maximum deck size of 250 cards.
I also have a Terisian Mindbreaker in that deck. 2 copies.
And in contrary to Crab I end with it in my first hand in 33%-50% plays...But when I play my second deck, where Ruin ***** are not a core of solution, I don't have any problem with getting them in the first draft.
Example 2:
Drawing lands only or no lands at all (in a 60 card deck with 24 lands).
It is a usual thing to encounter, drawing 5 lands in a row. No matter if you draw them "normally" or you shuffle your deck in between draws.
It's plainly to common.
My personal maximum was 3 lands in opening hand and then, drawing 7 lands consecutively...
Same goes for not drawing any lands BUT interestingly, drawing most expensive cards in deck... Although you only have 4-6 of those in deck.In contrary to one very dumb article on the internet, comparing it to flipping a coin for 200 times and we will always have 50/50 chance for both.
No, we will not have a 50% chance on throwing one side.
If anyone know how probability for consecutive actions works he knows what I am talking about.
For example: for 10 coin flips we only have 0.0977% chance of throwing one side on 10 consecutive throws. Please stop rendering randomness in MTG Arena as it probably does not bring anything good to players.
I have no problem with loosing to a opponent that has a great deck.
That's actually an opportunity to learn new things.
I have a problem loosing because 2 out of 3 plays are broken because of shuffle problem.
Same way I hate to win when I see that my opponent can't play because of broken draws. Thanks in advance.
Oh sorry, I forgot to mention one thing:
maybe you really don't influence it in any way.
But your algorithms are based on some pattern/s that can be reproduced and result in reproducing same outcome.
That might be a case why people face unrealistic situations for a random-based actions. -

This game is so manipulated to the extent I'm being paired with people with same decks consistently when I win or shuffler screwed. The shuffler is either giving me stacked cards or lands even in a low land deck. It seems you either just win by a landslide (no puns here) or get stomped out there is no good MTG games anymore. This game used to be something I enjoyed but at least it's pushed me back to paper... oh yeah my "Product Suggestion" Nothing, you guys have never listened to consumers it's all about digital marketing.

Not to mention the shuffler is tottaly favoring only **** aggressive decks players and matchmaking is rigged af. You're algorithm clear previously choose the winner of matches before them even start to begin with. 18 loose streak with 3 muligans and begining on second *every ***** time. And people and you're nonsense keep telling *it's just bad* luck !? Really!? I've could have won the lottery a thousand times by now with that probability which is obscene to experienced magic players. ****, I've been playing this before the trash Hasbro has even bought your company and the times this even happens on *real* magic is extremely low.
NOT EVERYONE HAS TIME TO PLAY BO3. Therefore, if people want to play other archetypes such as control, midrange you should allow them. I've already spent my money in this **** service!
FIX THE SHUFFLER AND STOP RIGGING GAMES!
