2. Achievement System

   I am copy-pasting this from a forum post I made. It's a bit long-winded but bear with it, please. :) Thanks and I hope you like this idea. I really think it's a way to bring in new players, help new players to be more welcomed to the game by a more diverse meta created by the presence of what I suggest.

   Now here. We. Go:

   So, Magic is great. (the current meta excluded)

   It's got the most depth, best gameplay, most interesting lore and longest run out of all the trading card games out there.

   Been playing it myself since it was released and have kept every card to this day (minus the doubles sold or traded or made into decks /starter packagers to sell over the years, etc).

   But online Magic is missing something that I feel is vital and would do nothing but add something good to the game - as well as potentially helping to fix the meta in the "Play" queue:

   No, I'm not talking about chat even though MtG is an inherently social game and it's ridiculous and indefensible that chat doesn't exist.

   I'm talking about achievements and an achievement reward track.
   Games like Elder Scrolls Legends and Hearthstone, both lesser games, have this function - along with a bunch of functions they ripped straight from Magic. Time to rip one back.

   Think about it - Achievements would give people a motivation to build other kinds of decks, play cards they might not otherwise play - this is a HUGE deal, because right now I personally have something like 20k cards and I cannot use the grand majority of them in a deck and still win vs the current meta on ANY queue - have goals other than "winning" for each game that they play. Having a wide variety of them would do a lot for the meta as you would see more and more people using decks to achievement-hunt. Sure, there'd still be net-decking losers looking to stomp on newbies but, I feel like it would lessen the burden by quite a lot.

   Not to mention the other positive benefits:

   A well-earned achievement during a match can take the sting out of a loss.

   Achievements give people a way to distinguish themselves and to have a "trophy" so to speak of their accomplishments.

   The achievements basically write themselves, as do the rewards. Titles that we can apply to our username, cosmetics, pets, special avatars / avatar variants / borders, special board items or life counters, just any number of cosmetic stuff, or even special cards for those really difficult achievements, or wild cards as rewards for the tiered ones.

   I'd be happy as **** to contribute to this project. A pipe dream as I have no game experience but I love fleshing ideas like this out and running with them. I hope that you do. Moving on...

   This idea just runs with itself and I would legitimately be shocked to learn that someone at Wizards of the Coast isn't already working on this.

   The negatives simply don't exist.

   Let's go, Wizards!

   This is truly the best thing that could happen to Magic right now and the only non-divisive solution I see to help the Play queue and to break up the meta.

   Some example achievements:

   Summon 100/200/500/1000 Zombies - Tier 1 reward: C zombie style choice Tier 2: U zombie style Tier 3: R zombie style 4: Mythic zombie style, Title: Deathcaller

   Summon Skeletons/whatever other types for cosmetic rewards - let you pick any one of the cards available for your cosmetic - different people will have different choices, or rather have their pick of say, ANY common Skeleton as an example - which adds to the cosmetic diversity of peoples' decks. Have a Title for each final tier i.e. Lord of Bones for skeletons and so on.

   Do X Damage to your opponent: 10,000/100,000/500,000/1,000,000 - different title for each as well as a choice of classic mana-associated companions for rewards (Serra Angel for white, Lord of the Pit for black, Craw Wurm for green, Leviathan for blue, Shivan Dragon for red, Chaos Orb for artifact)

   Counter X Spells: Tiered as above, titles of course ("The Denier")

   Destroy X Creatures, see above.

   And so on. There could of course be much more nuanced ones as well, like "play cards from anywhere but your hand" or "win the game with 1 hp" "absorb 100,000 damage personally without your life total changing", "transform x amount of creatures" etc etc. I meant it when I say these just write themselves. Looking through the cards presents hundreds of top-of-the-head ideas for these.
   There could be achievements based around playing decks that are story themed i.e. only include cards from one set or block.

   Some could reward special cards, Planeswalkers, etc as well. Can't call that pay to win as it would be based on achievements completed within the game, unlike the Mastery Track.

   There are just so many possibilities for this kind of system that I could post on and on about it and I'm not even a professional at this. It's a limitless, self-producing concept. See? I made some more off the top of my head:

   "Eye of the Tiger" - defeat an opponent who defeated you previously / same but in ranked - rewards: Title "The Champ" (cannot be attained playing a direct matchup with a friend of course).

   "Sleight of Hand" - Cast 50/100/200/500 non-land cards from anywhere but your hand. Reward: Cosmetics / cards, but final reward Title : The Conjurer and a rabbit in a hat pet.

   "Rise From Your Grave!" - bring 50/100/200/500/1000 creatures back from the graveyard to the battlefield - end reward? Title: The Necromancer and creature card that raises the dead (one that doesnt already exist and is only attainable this route - of your colour choice...though all variants include white, black, or green in their colour identity)

   This also presents opportunites should you choose to do as many players would like and bring branded Secret Lairs, like the Walking Dead one, to MTGA. IP team-ups could bring in tons of players from other fandoms and excite the **** out of current ones. Some ideas for achievements that include this concept:

   "They Mostly Come At Night. Mostly." - defeat 100/200/500/1000 any combination of horror and/or nightmare creature type. End reward: Now, this one would be nice to get a cosmetic reward for another card that is the titular Alien from the film / comic series replacing the card's art and lore. I don't have a card in mind, but I am sure there is something suitable. Maybe bring back Thrulls for this one, please?

   "Get to the Choppa!" - concede X number of times while an opponent has win condition on the board. (Don't know how you'd implement this, it's just an idea though - could also use it for returning x number of creatures to your hand)

   "I Ain't Got Time To Bleed"
   Win X number of matches while under 5 hp.

   Again, the end reward for this one would be nice if it were a cosmetic that replaced a card with The Predator. Maybe bring in "Kelsian, the Plague" to MTGA and have be the card that gets the cosmetic. Best fit off the top of my head. And I am sure there is a better achievement concept for this reward as well, but again this is stream of consciousness.

   and one last one before I stop rambling:

   "Pain Has A Face"
   - Do X amount of damage to yourself. As a reward for this one, I'd love to see Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose have a cosmetic that turned him into Pinhead, the **** Priest from Hellraiser. Clive Barker is an excellent collaborator.

3. Righteous Valkyrie not Flying and can't be targeted

   Fix the bugs. Attached is a freaking bugged angel that
   1-is not floating while having flying
   2-animations are bugged to hell
   3- I obviously can not target the creature despite another copy next to it being able to be targeted.
   Bug cost me the round. We pay for these events and this is what we get.

4. Add "Low Graphics" setting to MTGA Mobile

   My brother and I have decent mid-tier Androids capable of running MTGA's beta client, but the game constantly lags and freezes during play and even deckbuilding.

   It would be extremely helpful to those with weaker phones if there could be added a graphics quality variance option similar to that used in other games, which would allow the user to disable things like extra particles, animations, and models that slow the game down.

   Pets and flashy animations and whatnot are great on my PC, but I'd rather have the option of a visually simple game of Magic that runs perfectly than a stuttering freezing mess that ends in me losing on time.

   It's not fun for me or my opponent when I'm roping for the entire game as I wait for my app to unfreeze!

5. Reduce mobile graphics

   Please give an option to reduce mobile graphics. Or automatically reduce graphics once a large number of cards and tokens are present on the field. I just had to concede a game because the client froze on my phone once I had 30+ permanents

6. Game freezes during opponents turn in Premier Draft

   Behaviour:
   When in Premier Draft the game stopped advancing the turn during the opponents turn, with every card highlighted as if inspecting it, forcing you to concede.

   No workaround was found leading to a lost draft. Would it be possible to re-imburse the gems for it?

   Thanks a lot and may your goldspan dragons always fall on curve.

   P.S.
   I tried adding a .PNG screenshot, but it said the format isn't supported because there was a space in the filename. Two bugs for the price of one

9. Quick Draft prize not given after buggy final match

   On my 3rd loss I could not interact with opponent’s Oakshade Stalker. First it was attached to Goom’s Finery and I could not even look at Oakshade’s card details. When I clicked on the card it only showed me Groom. I then tried to remove Oakshade with Alchemists Retrieval. I ended up removing Groom’s Finery accidentally.

   I then could not block Oakshade and I could not tap it when I attacked with Distracting Geist even when it was not attached to equipment. I could not click on the card to get the detailed view of it. All my opponents other cards acted normally (for example I could block and get a closer view of Unhallowed Phalanx)

   I then tried to claim my reward and it seemed to work but I was not actually given my pack or gems. I have the option to start another quick draft match but can no longer claim my reward.

   On my 3rd loss I could not interact with opponent’s Oakshade Stalker. First it was attached to Goom’s Finery and I could not even look at Oakshade’s card details. 10. Bug with sideboard

    When playing on Android device in Traditional Ranks (Standard) I was not able to sideboard. The attached collection filter was presented.
    Playing Bo3 without a SB is kinda tough....

11. Character SFX on the side of the battlefield

    The new NPCs on the right side of the battlefield screen can be very annoying and i have to turn off all SFX to be able to concentrate. I´d like to have an option to turn them off separately or have them be completely silent until i click on them.

12. DISABLE/TURN OFF ANIMATIONS !!!!!!

    Please allow us to turn off animations. I want to use an older computer to run MTG arena, but it cannot handle the excessive animations, even at the lowest graphic settings.

    There is probably some sort of marketing or focus group reason that exists to force players to see animations, because Hasbro thinks that it will foster interest. Or, perhaps employees such as animators are hesitant to allow this due to fears of becoming redundant and losing their jobs. However, this puts hardship upon the users and create a nuisance, please reconsider your course of action.

14. Fynn, the Fangbearer should be banned immediatly!

    all of the sudden you guys bring back poison counters? this card fynn is so overpowered its ridiculous, with any luck people using it can win the entire game by turn 3! there are no other mechanics in standard rotation to remove poison counters. This card effectively brings ones starting life total down from 20, to 5. even if it dealt 1 poison counter at a time it would be like bringing your life total from 20 to 10, but 2? makes each creature deal poison counters? plus its only an uncommon, when it ought to be a mythic rare. its casting cost should be at least double if not triple what it costs. the only thing to do if the card is not banned, is to forget playing any other type of deck except a FYNN poison counter deck! no thanks!

15. Historic Masters

    Historic format could use a bit of a boost to flesh it out, and bring it slightly more in-line with Modern.

    Understandably, some cards (fetch lands, for example) are probably best left out, but there are many cards that would be a welcome addition in my opinion.

    Some examples I would give are:
    - original Theros gods (15 total)
    - Ravnica / Khans charms (15 total)
    - Tarkir Dragonlords / commands
    - Spell Queller, Selfless Spirit, Drogskol Captain, Mausoleum Wanderer, Gheist of St. Traft
    - Goblin Rabblemaster / Guide, Legion Loyalist, Bushwhackers
    - Stormchaser Mage, Monastery Swiftspear / Mentor
    - Remand, Countersquall, Hindering Light, Silumgars Scorn
    - Reflector Mage, Snapcaster
    - Mystic Snake
    - Tron lands / Wormcoil Engine
    - Aether Vial
    - Thing in the Ice
    - Supreme Verdict

    The list goes on...

    Fairly certain a set like this could sell quite well, if the card pool was good. I for one do not play Standard, and would definitely buy many packs, if it contained the cards I listed above.

16. Make matchmaking friendly for new people / people with few options?

    I came back after a while and I have been trying to play a decent game. I only have the basic sets with no chance of getting more, and I get matched with people with fully comboed decks. I have played a dozen games and I have no chance. Could you, maybe, as a suggestion, program a matchmaking system that is friendly with new people, even if only slightly (I don't know, being able to win a game in a thousand does not seem like much)
    I am enthusiastic about the new update, but half the dailies require me to actually be able to win games, and if there is no feasable way to do that, I will stop playing.

17. war of the sets

    Hello I think it could be great to make a regular event in wich players could play cards from any single set (but all cards of the decks must be from this set) for many reasons:
    1- Players doing a lot of drafts can have a big collection but only a small part is really usefull
    2- Most format consists in playin the best cards from various sets and they're all kind of the same, in this format decks will be running around special mechanics like doors, dungeons, -1/-1 markers and so on
    3- commercially it can be a good thing for you as players not drafting could need more cards to finish a deck for this format

    MTG Arena is not available on Play store for Xiaomi Mi11 Pro and Xiaomi Mipad 5, while the hardware and software minimum requirements are mets as defined on your page https://mtgarena-support.wizards.com/hc/en-us/articles/360054912332-Supported-Mobile-Devices-Minimum-Requirements.

    Installating threw APK or XAPK does not work, on both device the game stuck after connection on "Waiting for the server".
    Tried from China (with or without VPN, same), using MIUI 12.5.

    I already created a ticket and the only thing helpdesk said was "reinstall", worst useless helpdesk ever.

20. Time out

    Time outs should not be added throughout the match. Once used they should gone. One player sat through 4 time outs, played a card and then a turn later had 3 time outs to sit through. The game becomes unbearable when you have to sit through a 30 minute game
